OK these are far smaller in person than they look in pics...I will likely have this baby early, so I thought I better kick it into high gear and get him some more newborn fitteds made...I think I am going to use snappis as closure, maybe after he gets here I may add snaps but who knows....Some are knits most are flannel and some are turned a top stitched but most are serged...
For comparison I put a Kissaluv size 0 in the pic too hehe...now the big decision, what diaper to have him wear home from the birthing center?!?!

those are so cute. I vote for the camo print or the fire trucks for his trip home
Didn't you say you weren't nesting? (or I could be mixing you up with the other zillion preggos here) Looks like little Sawyer will be here very soon :D I love the polka dot, but the camo is very cute too.

Thanks!! :)I like the polka dots too for some reason...but i also made a matching beanie to the camo one...so we will have to see!!!...and yes I am sooooooo not nesting, this was purely out of force...If he could possibly be here monday and I have like 10 non girly prints to put on him, i was gonna be in trouble, and of course I don't want to resort to disposibles....I still have to sort through his clothes and find out hwo to organize two babies clothing in a limited amount of space.......I also have about 10 loads of laundry to do before he gets here too! and all I wanna do is sleep!

I have to admit, that's pretty inspirational. I'm just in the ttc phase and after looking at those pictures I feel like dusting off the old sewing machine and cranking out some diapers too.
I love the dinosaurs, great job!

thanks!! :) I got the dinos from Joanns and its pretty hard to find knit fabrics, so I got all I could while they had it...but some of the prints are actually recieving blankets and also a knit blanket...I got a ton of blankets from a friend that are all brenad new in the packages, since he will be born in the summer I have more than enough blankets now, so I used a few of them for diapers! :)
I really think once I pop this kid out we should have some sort of diaper making workshop for those of you wanting to learn to sew them yourselves :) it would be tons of fun!

What no skulls in the bunch? I am surprised
TaivensMama
05-22-2008, 01:56 AM
they really don't offer much in the flannel prints with skulls...that is more woven, not as comfy on a newborns bootie, we;ll have to wait till he is a bit bigger :)

i looked at all the diff patterns i could find online and have been experimenting. he's worn both of them so far. i bought a snappy thing so that he could wear the oners that i have that were used as bnurp clothes back when he was really little. i finally just threw myself into it and bought some different kinds of covers and things so i can see what he and i like best and we went to joanns today to buy some supplies since i was only using what i had at home before. i have been kicking myself for a while now because i had a baby lock that someone gave to me and when i was cleaning out my room so i could fit baby things i decided to give it to good will because "it didn't have an instruction manual" talk about a case of the preggo brain

Thank you ladies!!! and Maribel yah you would go broke if you were into cloth!!!!!!!
Kellie...I really think you need to see these puppies in PERSON they are about as big as a soup can! so i doubt your moose children would fit in them! hahaha...they only fit to about 8 1/2 pounds but takes my kids a few weeks to get that big, and it is well worth the few hours of sewing for a few weeks of well fitting diapers...I cannot stand HUGE diapers on my kids!
OMG Nicole I would seriously want to kick myself too!!!! I have a babylock that someone gave me too but it broke 3 weeks after she gave it to me...(oddly enough she called me last week to ask for it back...and I have held onto it actually even after 4 moves! so I guess she is gonna take it in to get fixed) thankfully Brooke attempted to be a seamtress and well, she was less than thrilled with her accomplishments...so i got lucky, she GAVE me her serger AND sewing machine IF I made her whatever she wanted whenever she wanted...(sometimes it takes me a while to fill her requests hehehe) remember to check craigslist...they often have cheap sergers :)
