Hey, Anyone interested in getting a scrapbook day together? I noticed someone was a "Leaving Prints" instructor but I can't remember who it was now, sorry. Even without an instructor it might be fun to have a MDO.

View Full Version : Scrapbooking, Anyone? Marisa 08-09-2006, 02:39 PM Hey, Anyone interested in getting a scrapbook day together? I noticed someone was a "Leaving Prints" instructor but I can't remember who it was now, sorry. Even without an instructor it might be fun to have a MDO. jellybeanmichelle 08-09-2006, 02:46 PM I'm interested. I usually buy Creative Memories stuff. LMS 08-09-2006, 02:47 PM i'm interested. I buy whatever i see that i like. most of my scrapping has been digital lately. Marisa 08-09-2006, 03:08 PM A lot of my stuff is Creative Memories too b/c Mandie (teaguemommy) used to sell it. I actually never heard of leaving prints before this board and I happened to see it on someone's signature (darn memory). It wouldn't have to be a "sponsored" event. I'm too broke to buy anything else anyway. But it would still be fun. LMS 08-09-2006, 03:26 PM yeah, we could juist have a mini-retreat for an afternoon or something. Snacks and scrapping :) meeg124 08-09-2006, 03:43 PM There is a local Yahoo Egroup for scrapbookers and one of the ladies is getting together a scrap day on September 30th. It's free and from 9:30 to 5:30 (I think is the end time). She is asking that people help set up or take down and bring a snack to share. The name of the egroup is Sonoma County Scrappers, if you want to check it out here is a link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sonomacountyscrappers/ Megan Marisa 08-09-2006, 03:48 PM Cool, Megan, thanks! barb 08-09-2006, 06:44 PM I'm the LP instructor. :) We're a relatively new company (less than 4 years old!). :) So, yes, I scrapbook! :) I'd love to get together and scrapbook, but I have so much crap that it overwhelms me and I don't know what to bring. :) Marisa 08-10-2006, 10:32 AM Barb: I thought that was you... I'm not crazy, you just changed your signature line, right? I'd be curious to see what you guys have. Like I said, Mandie used to do CM but it got a little pricey and she had to let it go because she couldn't meet the quotas on just our habits. She could also probably show you some organization tools for all your stuff. She is what you call born organized. I only wish I had a scrapbook setup like her! I think I'll have to post a poll for a date that would work for everyone.... Coming soon. Sara 08-10-2006, 10:40 AM I have a Creative Memories baby book if anyone is interested. It is white with raised white booties on the cover, very nice. My SIL gave it to me and I have yet to put anything in it. I have another book that I use, so this one is just sitting here. First person to say they want it gets it :) I can bring it to MNO on Saturday. barb 08-10-2006, 04:19 PM Hi Marisa, Nope, I didn't have a link in my signature. :) I try not to advertise on other people's sites without permission. But, my link is listed under the "prizes you can win" thread for SCM's first birthday. :) My website is Barb Scraps (http://www.barbscraps.com). It'll be going down tomorrow (8/11) around 2pm until Monday morning (8/14) because the company is upgrading our system and the sites. :) LMS 08-10-2006, 04:32 PM barb: feel free to include it in your sig ;) daisydoc 08-10-2006, 06:08 PM I've never really been able to get into the whole scrapbooking thing! Maybe I just haven't been with the right crowd! (the only person I know who's really into it is my hubby's sister and we don't exactly get along more tan we have to, kwim? ;) )Whenever y'all plan a get together to do scrapping I willcome and see if I can change my wary ways! :) jellybeanmichelle 08-10-2006, 06:59 PM Sara - How much do you want for that white CM scrapbook? I'll be happy to take it, if you want to give it up. I'll be at MNO too. Sara 08-10-2006, 09:00 PM I am giving it away. It has been sitting in my office taking up space for 3 years now and I am happy to get rid of it. I will bring it then. LMS 08-10-2006, 10:16 PM saara & Michelle: yall are coming saturday? Just double checking for a seat count. Sara 08-10-2006, 10:59 PM I'll be there, can't wait :) LMS 08-10-2006, 11:15 PM yay, sara! Sevannah will be 2 1/2 on Spet 1 and I haven't even started her book! LOL I have it... and it's been great at collecting dust! GeorgiasMama 08-14-2006, 10:54 PM hahaha ummm key times like NAP! and late night. I am a late night scrapper for sure. GeorgiasMama 08-15-2006, 12:02 PM Hey would anyone be up for a challenge? like a weekly one? let me know if you want I can start one up. I LOVE challenges Marisa 08-15-2006, 12:51 PM Kelly: Even with naps and late nights I can't get that much done! That's amazing. Like you, Anna, I have Brianna's book and everything I want to *eventually* put in it collecting dust in a box. At least it's all together... That's why I want to have a scrap-day. I'm thinking September because for the next couple weeks DH is working out of town so we need our weekends! I'll keep you all posted. I'm open to suggestions too. GeorgiasMama 08-15-2006, 04:33 PM Sept. is good for me. we don't have any plans. unless Georgias ballet is on a saturday again. but then its in the mornings. KaisaG 08-19-2006, 03:22 PM I would also be very interested in doing a day of scrapbooking... I buy all the stuff to do it but have no idea how to do it (silly I know!) I'd like to make a scrapbook for my son Emanuel before all my memories are lost with my mommy-brain! becky 08-19-2006, 07:04 PM That sounds liek fun. I have all my scrapping stuff but can never seem to sit down and do it. For me it is just easier to design stuff on the computer rather than scrapbook but i would love to work on it. GeorgiasMama 08-21-2006, 12:37 AM well I am in Sonoma and home most of the time.. I am willing to have some girls come over and scrap, until we get an actual crop day set up. bring the kiddos we can have a scrappin' play date! Marisa 09-15-2006, 09:21 PM OK, Gals!
