I just bought some plums at Costco today. They put everything into a box so i didn't bother unloading it from the car until now. Its a good thing its in a box because one of the plums is rotten, is crushed under the weight of the other plums and has leaked all over the box. So gross. Can i return these?

You can return anything at Costco. They're really good about taking stuff back. We returned a phone over a year later and didn't have all the parts or packaging.

Yep! I returned a what looked like a sealed jar of peaches. (4 pack)
But it some how opened and leaked all over the others in the package.

I even returned one of their veggy trays. All the carrots were bad, yet at the party we ate the rest of the veggies. It wasn't until after the party I returned them.

You actually don't need your receipt if it was in the past month, i think...they can look up your purchases on your card.

You will need either your receipt or the produce and you can return it. You do not need both, just one or the other. If you do not have a receipt they will put it on a Costco CASH card. We have bought Strawberries on many occasions and when we got home the middle of the box was full of mold, lol. When in a hurry I don't check. Good luck!

Well if you lay them out on a paper towel and not leave them in the container they should last longer. I just got very tired of having to check them at the store. Seriously they have a bad habit of having moldy strawberries in the store. You really have to check.

We returned pork chops last week because they didnt look right. The lady didn't even open the bag. She just tossed them in the garbage and gave us our money back.

My parents bought a BBQ there and returned it two years later, no receipt. And a friend of ours bought an engagement ring there and returned it when they got divorced (about 2.5 years after he bought it). They take almost everything back, but they do have a new return policy for some of the electronics...not sure how long it is.

I think their new electronics return policy is either 60 or 90 days.

this is awful, but my mom was the maid of honor in a wedding a couple years back and she didn't think any of her jewelry matched the dress, so she went to costco and bought a 3,000 dollar necklace (i happened upon the receipt) and then returned it a few weeks after the wedding because she wanted ot wear it a few more times. i thought it was crazy, but now i feel better knowing that they have a ridiculous return policy anyway (which i guess is good for us consumers?)
