"New Posts"

Sometimes when I come to the site and click on "new posts" it tells me there are none even when there are so I end up missing something. Other times it tells me there are some but when I click on them they are things I have already seen. Do I need to changes my settings or anything? I am not very familiar with how forums work :)

Sometimes it has to do with what's been stored in your Cache.
A good idea if it says "none" is to click on the link that says posts for the last 24 hours.... then it'll show the newest first. from there you can choose what you haven't seen to read.
