I think that Concord has one, but that is a long drive.

I found that on google.

Wow, and after looking at the site further it seems that many have closed.

Good luck!

From searching I found three in Sacramento area that seem to be still open. I found them by doing search for California Drive Ins

No drive-ins close.... Alternative: the movie theaters in Sebastopol and Sonoma have sound proof viewing rooms available to parents with little ones. Have to reserve it; first come first sevre; only in the two large theaters in Sebastopol so you have to call and check to see which movie is playing in the theater with the room; there's no extra charge.

their ph number is 829-3921. BOx office opens at 11am I think. That's when a real person will answer the phone! :)

Thanks so much for reminding me of this Anna! There have been so many movies I would like to see but we are always trying to figure out who wants to see a movie the MOST so someone can stay home with Alaina. Do they pipe in the sound or something into the room?

The Airport Theater was doing something called Wee Ones Wednesday in the morning for parents with kids so no one would yell at you for having a loud kid since they were everywhere but I dunno if they are still doing it?

Well I hardly think they would be showing any 9/11 based movies at something called "wee ones wednesdays" :)

yeah, i've heard of that where they play lots of movies and it's basically just so your kids can play and stuff whle you watch. I think that's an awesome idea.

Lisa- LOL! I didn't think of that <g> I think their purpose is to still show grown up movies (chick flicks not action stuff) because I saw a list once and they weren't kid movies, I think the highest rating was PG-13 so kids don't end up in therapy or anything :)

We have resorted to NetFlix for our movies. My aunt has come up a few times to visit and has watched the girls so we could go out. A few weeks ago we went to see Clerks 2 and had a great time; just the two of us. Other than that movie nights are now at home after the kids go to bed so we can watch the good stuff other wise we have to limit the TV viewing to PG or PG-13 depending on the flick.

When my parents watched the kids last weekend so James I could out we Saw Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Man's Chest. The last movie before thta we saw in a theater wsa Red Dragon... obviously before kids! LOL

Lynette: the rooms are small and have like 6 seats in them. I have yet to go but my friend did and she said the sound and pic look/sound the same as being in the big room. You view the pic through the large window and the sound is piped in. Best part... you don't have to listen to anyone and they don't have to yell at you if your kid cries!

Jackie: I would love to!!! Let's plan on it!
