As a mother and a psychotherapist, I am highly interested in the ongoing transformations of motherhood. I offer a monthly FREE Mothers' Circle in Sebastopol.
The next FREE monthly Mothers' Circle will be on Thursday 9/7/06 from 6-7pm.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also would like to inform you about a new group that I am offering as part of our explorations of motherhood.
Being a mother means being focused on the needs of others, often to the exclusion of our own. This outward focus can have detrimental effects on our health, psyche, relationships, and our ability to be the mother we like to be.
Have you neglected your physical and emotional needs since becoming a mother? Do you have difficulties expressing what you need? Do you catch yourself acting in a way you never hoped to act with your child(ren)? Have you found yourself wondering who you are when you are not with your child(ren)? These are some of the questions we will explore during our sessions.
Taking the time to tune into yourself will help you to get reconnected with who you are, what your needs are, and who you would like to be as a mother. Once you explore these aspects of yourself, you can choose to fulfill these needs and to communicate your needs to others.
Mothers' Circle Intensive: "What are my needs?"
Six 90-minute weekly sessions on Tuesdays 5-6:30
Sept. 12 – Oct. 17
Group size: 4-6 women
$180 for 6 sessions
To reserve your space pay in full or a deposit of $90 by Sept. 5.
To register please call 824-9106. For more information visit: stephaniemcglynn.com
