Oh that is great. I haven't been there since November which is also when Myah did her stunt act and fell out of the highchair. I haven't wanted to show my face in there again but i love thier food.

Wow, that doesn't happen often anymore, huh?!
The only time I had a meal comp'd was when we were having breakfast at the Green Oaks in RP and we were halfway done when Brian found his toast was moldy. We got up to pay and just leave without making a stink but the waitress got the owner who stormed over and yelled, "What? You have never seen mold before?!" I said, "Sure I have, but I sure as hell don't eat or serve it to people!" So he yelled at us to get out so we got a free meal at the Green Toast! Woo hoo!

The only time I have seen a restaurant comp a meal was about 16 years ago when my mom had a slug crawl out of her salad (there was a trail of goo coming from the bowl...) She was sick to her stomach for 3 days... Not sure whether she got sick from something she actually ate... or if she was just sick from the thought of something she may have eaten. Ewww.

we recently had a meal comped at Sweet River. James' steak was seared on the outside but completely raw on the inside! It was gross. I caught our waitresses attention but at that point Sevannah was restless and I was pretty much done with my salad so she showed the steak to the manager and they comped us james's meal.
Lynette: I can't believe the owner yelled at you b/c some jack ass in the back served you moldy toast! That's beyond rude!

My husband comps meals and hotel rooms, given the situation.
I get free meal tickets just from e-mailing the company.
I just e-mailed Taco Bell and Quiznos today.
Taco Bell, cause they need to cut some bushes from there drive thru, and Quiznos cause they pull the soup off the warmer before closing time.
I've even done Cold Stone too, but that was to tell the manager how wonderful one of their employees was.

Becky and Ana: I know, he was an ass! The place isn't in business anymore now, the guy who owned it was Greek I think and he had these dumb commercials with him on there saying his prime rib is the best because of the way he cuts it!
Actually, if we are sharing about food experiences I should throw in another bad one so no one goes there. There is a chinese place next to Olivers in RP/Cotati named Fu Zhou and once I was eating some of their chow main when I bit down on something thin and hard....it was a roach. I almost puked, I couldn't eat chinese for about a year and it is one of my favs.
Michelle- You get free stuff from sending the company's email?? That's cool, I should try that! Actually we had to pay $500 to replace the brakes on our less than 15k mile van so I was thinking of firing a letter off to Chrysler about it to see what happens.

Thanks for the heads up Lynette... I live over in that neck of the woods (M section) and I've been scoping out chinese restaurants lately because my husband loves the food... I don't think I could ever eat chow mein again. Barf.

OMG Lynette that is so gross. I'm thankful I haven't had anything like that happen. I love to eat out and that would just ruin the whole experience for me.

I think Tai Yuet Lau was good. Lots of food, good prices.
I know the name has changed now, but haven't been to try the food.
It's over in the Roger Wilco shopping center.
Yeah, Fu Zhou is yucky! I don't like JK's either. Over by Food Maxx/Chuckie Cheese.

I just noticed Tai Yuet Lau was called something else the other day. Confucious by Raley's is really good but a little more expensive.
I used to have this site bookmarked that listed all the food places in the county and their health violations. I will have to look for it again...

I went to the Baker's Square here in RP. I just wanted to get pies. 3 employees came through and did not aknowledge me. The hostess came in a couple times to seat people, and said she would be right with me. Then a couple of employees came to use the register, and totally ignored me. I stood there for about 25 minutes. I was in sweats, and looked horrible, but not bad enough to be ingnored. Then an employee came to the register. I was leaning on the counter in front of it. He called the lady behind me up to ring her out. I waited until she left and then let them have it. I was very polite, and descriptive so they would understand my frustration. I got nothing.
I went home and emailed their corporate offices with a very detailed description of what happend including all the names of the employees involved. Someone from their corporate offices called me to get my info to send me a coupon.
The coupon was for a single meal including a drink and dessert. I took the coupon in and brought my kids. The waiter was average. I went to pay, and the manager was ringing me out. He overcharged me, and did not see it. I did not have enough money because of the overcharge. I turned beet red in front of the line of people. I had to call my Hubby to bring my Debit Card to me to cover it. The manager agreed to take it over the phone. I went home with my Hubby's meal and cried when I got there. He went down to the restaurant with the receipt and the Manager showed him nothing but respect and fixed the error and credited my account. I emailed the company sharing my return experience with them and never heard anything again. I won't go there any more, even though I love the food. I will go to the Santa Rosa location if the craving hits me in the future.

Love Red Lobster, they are great there. So is Olive Garden, Yummmm!
We actually went to dinner at Applebees with my Dad, my Hubby, and the kids several months back. We were eating our meals when the power went out. The sun was still up, but would be setting soon. The manager made an announcement that the power would be out for some time, and that everything (already served) was on the house. Then my Dad announced that he was buying, lol! I don't know if it was Good Customer Service, or an inability to add without the use of technology, lol!
Thanks for the heads up on the restaurants ladies. Especially the one by Oliver's. We shop there and I have considered some of the restaraunts there several times.
