Hello ladies,

I originally posted this note in two yahoo groups and got some great ideas but being that we all have little one's about the same again i thought i would post this here as well to here what you all think and ideas.

I really could use some help. I'm in the Christmas mood, I know it's early. I wanted to put together a unique gift for my girl's grandparents (three sets of grandparents in all). For the past couple of years I have made calendars for everyone but this year I know it will just be too much work to take on in addition to my business being that I have a baby due in february.

I already have an idea of what I would like to do which is the place my girls holiday photo and message on the outside of a keepsake tin (I have designed in the past for my own clients but didn't have anything on the inside) Because I want to make these as a special holiday gift for the grandparents, I need ideas as to what I should put on the inside of the tin themselves.

There are so many creative mommas here I would love to hear your ideas. I am open to purchasing or bartering for items as well as ideas of things maybe my girls can make to put inside the tins. My daughters are 8 and 2 years old.

I look forward to hearing your ideas.

I'll have to think about that one Becky... Maybe I can throw the idea at my sister and a friend of mine. They are both far more creative than I have been lately.

Hand-made ornaments:

Ice-cream cone - real easy to make.
Felt stuffed tree/bell etc...

I'll have to think of some more ideas.

we're big christmas people too, but we won't be going all out this year as we'll probably be in florida for the holidays.

i'll try to think of some ideas for you, but i'm loving the calendar idea for our G-p's

Okay so I am sitting here at work trying to think of something and I thought of magnets?? I mean you can make anything cute & crafty into a magnet pretty easily and then the grandparents would be able to enjoy it all year instead of just at Christmas...

I'll keep thinking...

oh magnets are a cute idea and since i plan on sending these in a keep sake tin it would "stick" perfect. I'm going to have to look into that when i go the office depot today.

I sew fabric ornaments in simple shapes like rectangle, oval, round, square. Then you get photo transfers and print then iron on the photo. Good luck with your project Becky!
