Hi everyone,
this email came to me as the egroup coordinator of the SRMC online group. Please take the time to help make our downtown more kid-and-family friendly! The link is in on the sidebar to the right, on the website included in the text below:
The Santa Rosa City Council has an online survey regarding the redesign of Courthouse Square and your website, newsletter and any other outreach you offer would be an ideal way to involve your members and ensure that the inclusion of a children's play area is at least considered if not incorporated into the final design. At this point I don't think there are any plans to do so.
Please consider sending the following -
The Courthouse Square Online Survey provided by the Santa Rosa City Council is a perfect opportunity for Santa Rosa families to make their voices heard in a very easy way. If you think adding a play structure of some kind to the redesigned Courthouse Square is a good idea please take a moment before the Sept. 8th deadline and complete the survey located at www.srcity.org
Please consider adding the following language or create your own in the additional comments section but please take a moment to make a difference!
"Please include a gated play structure for children in Courthouse Square! It could be large like the one found in Windsor or small and without sand like the one found on the East side of the Corte Madera Mall - either way families would be more likely to shop downtown and participate in events if there was an area to let the kids burn some energy and some seating (picnic tables!!) for all of us parents!"
