So, I take out my contacts last night, and a few minutes later it feels like there's something in my left eye... I go look in the mirror, nothing.. I rinse with water, and it *still* feels like there's a big ol fleck of something in my eye! It only hurts when I blink/close my eye, but there's nothing stuck to the underside of my lid... Possibly a cut or something on my eye, then? I don't know, but it is VERY uncomfortable... Guess I should maybe find an eye dr that takes medi-cal?

Do you have general medi-cal or pg medi-cal? If just pg is ophthalmology /optometry covered?

general, I'm guessing, since we got it before I knew I was preggo...

there's a family optmetrist on farmer's lane near rite aid that i went to when i had medical and i loved them (which is saying something because i am especially terrified of eye doctors)

Does it feel like bumps at all? I had an issue with contacts causing bumps under my eyelids. Dr. Bruns helped me with it:)

I was thinking the same thing Venessa said. Those bumps feel like something is in your eyes and they get worse if your eyes are irritated by allergies or anything else. I used to get them really bad during allergy season. They go away, but only if you stop wearing your contacts for a while. I kind of don't think you scratched anything if you didn't feel it happen like and obvious poke or scratch in your eye. If you're not squeamish you can flip your eyelid up and have your hubby take a look for bumps.

I'd definitely get it checked out - and not use contacts til then.

Well, I've been sticking with my glasses today.. it's still uncomfortable, but not as bad as it was last night or this morning.. It would make sense if it's bumpy things from the contacts on the underside of my lids, since it only hurts hen my eyes are closed.. but yeah, I'm too squeemish to pull up my own eyelid.. took a while for me to get used to poking myself in the eye to get the contacts in and out :bag

Totally..I can basically do anything to my eyes after contacts for 12 years, but there is no way I can flip up my eyelid either.
