We want to grill up the Salmon we bought today for dinner here in a little bit, but dh said NO black pepper!
So I need suggestions on other rubs to put on it for grilling that you have tried and like....
TIA!

Mmmmm that would work for him!
do you put it in foil before putting it on the grill or do you just oil the fish and place on the grill directly?

We do foil because otherwise it falls apart.
I like butter and lemon w/ some rosemary. We're having grilled salmon tonight too. :)

Okay, so we ended up doing it directly on the grill. We decided to saute the fresh rosemary in butter and a little olive oil (so the butter didn't brown of course) and then simmered that butter and the rosemary together with some white wine and fresh squeezed lemon juice for a few minutes, then poured it over the salmon and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then we put it directly on the BBQ and let it cook for about 10 minutes or so.
I made some squash from the garden in some butter, Lemon, white wine, rosemary, and garlic. And then some toasted bread that I had rubbed some of the Butter/Wine/Garlic/lemon mixture over.....
OMG Dinner was VERY VERY TASTY!!!!!!!!!! I'd pay a pretty penny for it....BUT I DIDN'T! :giggle

mmm sounds yummy! I LOVE grilled salmon. I don't make it much because DH won't eat it but when I do I usually just sprinkle kosher salt on it and then grill it on the foil - that make is SO much easier to take off the grill and clean up!
