Anyone watch this show? I love it and wish my husband would let me sign us up.

Anyway I just got an email in the MOM Pack today from the casting producer. Since the owner of the MOM Pack reposted the note to the group i thought i would post it here just in case anyone is interested. I know most of us here are stay at home moms but we might know someone who would be interested in trying out for the show if we can't.

"My name is Julia Jenkins and I am a casting producer for ABC's hit reality show 'Wife Swap.' If you are unfamiliar with the show, Wife Swap is a fascinating story of what happens when two married couples see themselves and their spouses in a whole new light. Time Magazine calls Wife Swap "a riveting examination of family values." The New York Post says, "It should be called 'Life Swap' because it's not just the wives who learn something here. It's the families." The premise of Wife Swap is simple: for two weeks, two wives from two different families with very different values exchange husbands, children and lives (but not bedrooms) to discover what it's like to live a different woman's life. We are currently casting for our third season and we are looking for a family where mom is out in the work force, while dad is at home with the kids. Or maybe mom and dad both work really long and hard hours. Here at 'Wife Swap' we look for a two-parent home with at least one child between the ages of 6 and 17 living at home fulltime. We are currently casting for our third season, so don't miss out on this amazing experience! Families that appear on the show receive $20,000 as a thank you. And if you refer a family that appears on the show you would receive $1000. If you have a family and you are interested in applying for the show, or if you know of any great families that you would like to refer, please EMAIL: julia.jenkins@rdfusa.com . Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!"

LOL! I will have to tell Salina because we watch that sometimes and I made the comment once that I wouldn't be to interesting to watch because I couldn't think of my complete opposite to swap with. She laughed and told me they would stick me with some sexist, racist, ignorant, animal abusing hill billy family who all smoked 2 packs a day, but were still very religious and believed they were being wonderful Christians. I told her ok, that would make for good TV :D

Lynette-I would so watch that how to. I love it when they have such complete opposites in the swap. I do have to admit some are really sad especially when there are real marital problems that the couple fails to see. I always like the happy ending though when there are happy endings.

I think of them all, the sadest one was with the husband who was a math nerd and the wife who partied with her single girl friends all the time. I felt so bad for him becuase his wife always ignored him and the "new wife" actually tried to make him feel special and even gave him a Trekie birthday party. THe show ended with him sitting outside alone wait for his wife to come out and have some quality time with him and all she did was stand at the window making stupid remarks and not once went out to see what he was waiting for. And that was after him sitting out there with an extra seat beside him and him waiting for like an hour. She never walked out to him. so sad.

omg, i can't stand this show (in a 'it's a train wreck, but i still have to watch' sort of way).... There is always one mom on there who i CANT STAND.

Do yall remember the heavyset woman who thought the star on the back of the peoples house meant they worshipped satan, and she FREAKED OUT?

I totally missed that one and would have loved to see it. I know the show is a train wreck but like you said, its a "i have to watch" sort of thing. I'm like you and usually hate someone, either the mom or dad. Its not a show unless you have someone that could be on jerry springer or something.

The email wasn't sent to me directly. I'm a member of the Mom Pack and the owner posted it for everyone after she recieved it from the producer. From time to time she will get stuff like this becuase the Mom Pack is so huge. The last one i remember was when Martha Stewart had gotten out of jail and was casting moms for a cooking special.

They really pair up complete opposites on there, and in a LOT of cases, complete NUTBALLS!!!!!!!! My hubby would NEVER, EVER agree to it in a million years anyways...LOL! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/h0/jump.gif I can't blame him, though!!!
