I dunno if it is in the air or something but Alaina is trying to drive me to insanity with her sleep issues! I know she is going through a developmental stage I just wish she would get there already! She has been not falling asleep at night because she is overtired and she is fighting naps. Last night she didn't go to sleep until 11pm and at 5am I heard giggling but she was not in bed with me. I saw a light on down the hall and found her in Salina's room slamming the mouse on the keyboard of her computer and laughing her butt off! Poor Salina was just sitting in bed looking very confused.

Ok, that *was* kind of funny even at 5am but still, I have not been able to finish a TV show (she wakes up), go through bills (grabs papers and throws them on the floor), return phone calls (she screams as soon as they answer the phone), balance my check book (see bills), nothing and the only reason I can use the computer is because if she interrupts me I can leave and come back later! UGH!

Because she is tired she is being a punk too. As an homage to Becky's Myah, yesterday she found some glitter glue and got it in her hair on dad's watch. Salina said she was trying to add some bling to her life. Ok, that was funny too but washing it out...not so funny.

Somedays ya gotta laugh to keep from crying! LMAO!

Oh Lynette! I'm sorry Alaina is being a BRAT! Sevannah had been having her own wonderful moments this week but nothing that bad. Though we have been there. It got so bad at one time I "locked" her in her room and left her there for about 15 minutes! Oh man was she pissed at first! But then she got really quiet... you know that it's too quiet so they have to be getting into something quiet? Well I went to see what she was up to and she had fallen asleep!

I send happy sleepy thoughts Alaina's way and sanity thoughts to you! Hope she gets over this phase quickly!

Patty went through that(still does sometimes) when she was over tired. I would just take her and put her and Tyler in the car and go for a car ride around the block a few times or a short ride around town and she would be fast asleep since she was so tired. Maybe something like that would work for you?
Good Luck.

I'm sorry Lynette but this made me giggle. Especially the reference to Myah. Oh I feel your pain. I have been lucky Victor has been home these past couple of days so she is driving him crazy. Its 7pm now and she didn't get her nap so she's being a pain in the ass now but still manages to make me giggle with the silly things she does, All I can say is that this should only last a couple of weeks and then it gets better. Myah is still being a pain but the level has gone way down. I just have to remember to giggle instead of wanting to kill her. As my dad says, "god makes them cute so we don't kill them" Sometimes he is so right.

ya the car thing doesn't work for us either... we've tried! But when we get home and I got to take Sevannah out of the car and put her in her crib she wakes up like she was never alseep! And that is annoying as hell!

The car used to work when she was littler but now with the DVD in the van she just whines for the movie.

Oh yes Becky, I tell her everyday it is a good thing she is so cute or she would have been off to the gypsies already! Thankfully she fell asleep by 7:45 tonight so I am hoping things get gradually better because I am feeling pretty crispy right now <g> My other kid would probably like some attention too though...

Lynette - I hope Alaina is sleeping better soon. I don't know which is worse, the tired grumpy child or the tired grumpy parent. I'm some sleepy wishes your way!
