For those of you that don't know, my DH had gastric bypass surgery in January of this year. Before surgery, he lost a 100 pounds and post operatively, he has lost about 120. The guy in this video is on some of the weight loss boards that Scott is on and Scott is very inspired by him... This guy runs marathons fairly often, even back to back on weekends, he is training to be an IRONMAN triathlete and has inspired Scott to do some of the same things. Scott is signed up for his first sprint triathalon in September and I'm just waiting for him to tell me that he really wants to compete in an IRONMAN event and go to Hawaii. Just thought I would share :D

Wow, that *is* awesome! But... I have to kinda wonder what his body looks like (if he didn't have any reconstructive surgery).. I mean, skin can only stretch back so much... while the loss is great, it would suck to be stuck with all that lose skin...

Scott has a ton of loose skin and while he doesn't like it and it's annoying, it's definitely better than the alternative.

Wow, that is great! What did he do to lose the weight before the operation? That is amazing to lose that much even beforehand.

He started eating like he would have to post-op. So he probably restricted himself to 800-1000 calories a day and went to the gym 5 days a week. Scott says the best thing he does is journal what he is eating. He uses that same site that Kaisa posted, to keep track of what he is eating and makes sure to enter in everything he eats.
