Vote for one or many... which events will you be watching this year? Lorah 08-12-2008, 02:41 PM I like the Gymnastics, but we don't have a tv right now, so I just read about it in the news. :giggle tcolera 08-12-2008, 02:42 PM I don't have time for tv so none this year!! weg'smom 08-12-2008, 02:44 PM I don't have time for tv so none this year!! I'm in the same boat. :( Usually I am an avid follower of swimming, gymnastics (only girls though), and beach volleyball. Lorah 08-12-2008, 02:44 PM Is there supposed to be a poll to vote on? I don't see one? Marisa 08-12-2008, 02:45 PM Patience Grasshopper... there are many choices! Lorah 08-12-2008, 03:04 PM Patience Grasshopper... there are many choices! ;) Lorah 08-12-2008, 03:08 PM I use to practice Judo. I LOVE throwing people! I got really good at it in college! I advanced 3 belts too! ;) surmick 08-12-2008, 03:09 PM what about opening ceremonies? Just sitting through the whole darn thing deserves a medal. Sara 08-12-2008, 03:28 PM Dang, that must have taken a long time to put in the poll :giggle We love the olympics, and since it comes on at 8:00, we watch it when the kiddos are in bed. lornabrown 08-12-2008, 04:10 PM I'm certainly missing sleep. The men's team gymnastics last night were so good. I was recording it but ended up watching it till about 12:45am because I couldn't sleep without knowing. The poll is missing beach volleyball. Gotta love our May/Walsh team. Marisa 08-12-2008, 04:15 PM The poll is missing beach volleyball. Gotta love our May/Walsh team. Sheesh, Lorna! Don't you think it's long enough? ;) Sara 08-12-2008, 04:25 PM I'm certainly missing sleep. The men's team gymnastics last night were so good. I was recording it but ended up watching it till about 12:45am because I couldn't sleep without knowing. The poll is missing beach volleyball. Gotta love our May/Walsh team. My claim to fame is that I played against Kerri Walsh in high school and dug a hit she made at me. I am not kidding when I say the hit was straight down and if I wasn't right there no one would have been able to dig it :) lornabrown 08-12-2008, 04:28 PM That's cool! I can see you playing volleyball. Is she from Marin? What school? Lorah 08-12-2008, 04:28 PM My claim to fame is that I played against Kerri Walsh in high school and dug a hit she made at me. I am not kidding when I say the hit was straight down and if I wasn't right there no one would have been able to dig it :) :clap Good for you! ;) Sara 08-12-2008, 04:44 PM What I meant to say is that I was lucky she hit it at me or else I wouldn't have been able to get it :D becky 08-12-2008, 06:05 PM i love the swimming. i was watching Phelps all night last night but at 3am i just had to go to bed because i wanted to go to the play date today. so how many more gold metal did phelps get and did US get any for gymnatics? meeg124 08-12-2008, 07:38 PM I've watched about 15 minutes of the Olympics so far and only that much because Scott was watching Judo and women's weightlifting (was that on the poll? :lol ) on the Korean channel when I got home on Saturday night. Why was he watching on the Korean station you wonder (like I did)? It was the only station that had on the events he wanted to see :lol Sara 08-12-2008, 07:40 PM That's cool! I can see you playing volleyball. Is she from Marin? What school? She went to school in San Jose, we were at the same tournament as them and my College roommate went to school with her. Maritza 08-14-2008, 09:52 AM We love Fencing, Equestrian, Swimming, Volleyball and Rowing:) Brookepanda 08-14-2008, 09:59 AM those pesky olympics have been keeping me up later than I've been planning on staying awake :giggle becky 08-14-2008, 12:36 PM i see I am not the only one addicted. I think i would stay up much later if i had a tv in the office. Sara 08-14-2008, 12:37 PM those pesky olympics have been keeping me up later than I've been planning on staying awake :giggle I know!! What makes me mad though, is they are time delayed by 3 hours so the people on the east coast get to see it live, but we have to stay up all night!! If they played it live for us I would be so much more rested :giggle becky 08-14-2008, 12:42 PM that stinks :( i wish we got to see them live too LessasLashes 08-14-2008, 04:47 PM my favorite is gymnastics and swimming.. jellybeanmichelle 08-14-2008, 06:56 PM those pesky olympics have been keeping me up later than I've been planning on staying awake :giggle I know!! If they played it live for us I would be so much more rested :giggle Tonight is the Women's gymnastic's Individual, and the TV schedule says it's on tonight from 8pm until 1am. Where as the last few nights it was on until midnight. WTH? I hope they show the gym early in the program. Kellie_MO5 08-14-2008, 09:40 PM We only get a few channels, so we don't watch them (not that we normally would anyways.. but at least I have a valid excuse this season! LOL) lornabrown 08-15-2008, 06:35 PM My DVR is almost full! I can't keep up. Now I'm taping the news after the olympics since it keeps running over. Sara 08-15-2008, 06:36 PM I wish the gymnastics final was tonight, not last night!! I wanted to watch it so bad but had to get some sleep :( |
