Has anyone else ever been to Bonfante Gardens?? I've wanted to go there since it opened a few years back, and Emanuel got 4 (free) tickets yesterday. He was going to give them to his sister before I mentioned that I have always wanted to go because he said we can't take a baby there. He said the car ride to Gilroy is too long, we couldn't do anything there, blah, blah, blah. I told him we could at least check out all the botanical stuff (I used to work at a florist so that stuff is very interesting to me...).

The car ride is to long? Oh, I don't think your husband has seen it yet.
Just ask all the other Moms who have driven places farther than Gilroy.

I've been wanting to go there too!
Personally, I think it would be a fun experience.
You can take a baby, just not on the rides, if they have them.
I say, go to for a little vacation!

Yeah he had me Mapquest it -- and I was like, see it's 2 hours 11 mins... Baby Eman would probably sleep most of the way!!! There are 19 rides but I wasn't planning on taking the Baby on any of them of course (not even the ones that say "OK for infants").

i'd totally drive that far! I've never even heard of it before. And 2 hours isn't horrible. In a carseat, he'll just sleep the whole way. I guess it's better than flying for 2 hrs (on your lap) b/c then they don't like to sleep.

The two hour drive to Gilroy is nothing! Since starting Cookie Lee in July I have driven to Roseville (which is 2 1/2 hrs) about 5 times; and I take Jazper with me everytime I go! Sevannah has gone with me twice... the other times it was just easier to have her stya with my mom for the day. We drove to Quincy (6 hours) for a cousins wedding in July (jazper was 3 months). That's the best time to travel distances in a car with an infant b/c all they do is sleep! And there's always other things to do besides go on rides! If Eman doesn't want to go take the tic and go with someone else! I would... LOL I've never been to the Gardens but it soundslike it would be a lot of fun!

I agree with everyone else, provided that baby E likes to be in the car. I've known some babies that just did not like the car and would scream the entire time they were in the car. When Caden was a baby, we went several times to visit my grandma and other family in Orland and Redding, for the day. It was a 3+ hour drive one way and Caden always did great. UNLESS we got stuck in traffic. He loved the car but you had to be going more than 25 miles an hour. Luckily, I have a lead foot. LOL

Megan-- Emanuel is the same way... as soon as we start slowing down he gets fussy... They are only open on weekends right now- but I think if we time it right we could miss the traffic that would cause a slow down...

that sounds like fun.....i have never heard of that place though. when we drove to shorline kail was a little fussy in the car but not too bad we only had to stop 2 times i think......mostly because he gets a little car sick he always pukes if he ate within 10-15 min. before getting in the car so i try and feed him earlier then that.

that explains why klail doesnt like the swing i think.....
