Diaper Genie II

Ok, Target has this online and the refills too.
I called Target RP and Toys R Us.
Both stores don't have the item in stock or the re-fills.
As of now, I'm using the old diper genie refills in the new one.
One problem, the top of the new genie does not fit back on.
Target online is selling the refills for $5.99.

I called Playtex, they said the Diper Genie II was released to the public about a month ago. So maybe that is why it is taking long to actually be in the stores.

I don't know about this.. I was too cheap to buy refills, etc. so we have the diaper champ. No refills and you just use regular garbage bags. (And it doesn't stink like nasty diapers....)

michelle: I JUST went out this weekend to buy new refills and realized noone had them so i bought a old style refill and am using it like you are. I'll hafta order some online. I LOOOOOVE the new genie... my old one was promptly donated to the womens shelter.

Well as y'all may recall... my old diaper genie met with my sledge hammer! :D and since then we have been using the diaper champ... which I like. Don't have to buy refills so that saves money but i hafta say, once you get to having a toddler who's poopy SMELLS like a bomb was just let off, it doesn't do so well on keeping the odors "contained" especially when it's time to change the bag! I didn't have to worry about that with the new Genie which is tucked away in a corner of Jazper's room waiting for refills to be available. Even though we now just walk Sevannah's dirty "pants" outside to the garbage I want to be able to use the Genie II with Jazper. So let's keep each other posted on when the Genie II refills are available in stores! :smile

I have seen the refills at Wal-Mart.

I refuse to buy them. I found that the diaper genie bags lasted me 2 weeks and at $6 a pop for refills it's just cheaper and much easier for me to walk outside and toss the diapers out.

I like the genie II and found that even after a 3-4 days worth of diapers the room still didn't smell, but the refills are too expensive.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling...but they are avail at WM
