What Businesses Have Closed?

I've been trying to make a list of all of the local businesses that have closed in the last year or so. I know there is lots. Please add to the list if you know of any.

Kids Kutz (Santa Rosa)
Gymboree (Rohnert Park)
Bakery (Larkfield shopping center)
P3 Party Place (Santa Rosa)

There was an RP kid's party place on State Farm that closed, Amy would know the name.
I dunno what happened with Sonoma Taco Shop but RP and Petaluma closed

there was a play place in RP that closed.....besides gymbore play and music but i don't remember it's name...I'd never been but I remember someone saying it closed

I can't remember the name of the place Brooke is talking about but Toobtown was different, although they never did reopen after they had that flood.

The linen store Shanta is talking about was Anna's Linen's -- it was right next to Gymboree.
Hallmark in RP is closing - I don't know if they've actually shut the doors there yet but when I was there about a month ago everything was 50-70% off.

There is the vacant building right next to Raley's too - I don't know what used to be there but someone else might. (they are putting a Golden Spoon in there soon instead).

Are you counting Hunter's Steakhouse?

There is the vacant building right next to Raley's too - I don't know what used to be there but someone else might. (they are putting a Golden Spoon in there soon instead).


That was a cellular store although I am not sure which one. That Golden Spoon sign has been up for months too, I was wondering if it fell through for them actually.

Next to Raleys was Metro PC. We noticed that yesterday when we ran to post office/blockbuster. Funny thing about the ToobTown closure if they still have coupon listed in the 2009 Entertainment book. I have emailed The Entertainment Book people about that.

The JC Penney Petaluma location closed. Though... I guess it was more than a year ago.

I've lived here less than 2 years and seen tons of stores go under. Restaurants are pretty common but it does seem like an awful lot lately.

Ann Taylor and Sharper Image, both in Montgomery Village
Sonoma Bagel off of old Courthouse Square
Cafe Japan, downtown SR
Let's see, there was home fabrics store on Farmers lane across from Johnny Garlic's--can't remember the name.
And Asia Gourmet at the corner of Montgomery and Summerfield. The Chinese Buffet at that same area was replaced by Hikune.

That's all I can think of right now.

The bakery in Larkfield actually moved downtown Santa Rosa. Not sure of the address but a friend of mine knows.
They are trying to sell the kids place in Sebastopol so I'm not sure if that will close.

I was bummed about the bakery in Larkfield. That place has been there forever. I loved going in there for doughnuts.

Albertsons isn't really gone. The company bought the Lucky name years ago changed all the stores to Albertsons and for what ever reason thought they could get a fresh face and changed them back to Luckys. Same company owns both names.

Yardbirds didn't close, it was bought out by Home Depot. I know they didn't keep all of the stores open but the ones they didn't keep open, there was already a Home Depot right there.
