Did you hear about Stephenie Meyers manuscript of Twilight from Edward's perspective book being leaked online?? She had written like 250 pages and given a copy to family and friends for an opinion and some posted the entire thing so she was ranting on her site about how now she doesn't think she can finish it and it is postponed "indefinitely" :(
Personally, it kind of smells fishy to me like she had writer's block and this is the way to get out of the commitment with her publisher but I dunno, either way it is lame, lame, lame.

That is sooooo lame. I hope it's not true. I saw an interview with her somewhere where she was talking about that book.

I just finished reading the series (it took 1.5 weeks) - looks like she had writers block during the last book because it wasn't as good as the others.

So I'm not really sure whether it was all a big marketing ploy or what not, but here's the link she posted so people could read this "partial draft".

Thought you ladies might be interested in reading it! :dunno
I don't know if I really want to read the same story over again, just from a different perspective. I love the series, but that might be a little too much for me! :beathorse

I have to admit hearing all you rave about how good it is makes me want to read it.. I was *very* into the whole vampire thing in high school (silver kiss, vampire chronicles by anne rice, the vampire bible.. read pretty much everything I could) ... oh, and yep, I *still* watch Buffy reruns online :bag HAHAHA

I'll be going sometime. I really hate the crowds of opening weekend too, but I might have to make an exception for this! :)
If anyone is interested in another vampire series, Laurell K. Hamilton (www.laurellkhamilton.org) has an awesome one!! They're more "adult" themed, unlike the Twilight series, but just as addicting!! I have almost the entire series if anyone is interested!

I'll check what I have at home tonight, I think I may lent out the first couple books to a girlfriend. But as soon as I get them back (if I did lend them out), you're both more than welcome to borrow them!!

Salina liked it, she said it seemed like it went really fast but that is what you get for cramming 400+ pages into 2 hours :dunno
Oh, and she said it should be law that the guy who plays James is not allowed to wear a shirt. Ever. :lol
