from what else I've heard, the babysitter is the baby's uncle's girlfriend, too... so she was an *almost* aunt, I guess... I really don't understand how someone can do that.. yeah, I get how someone may get a little frustrated with a baby that won't stop crying, but MY instinct would be to do everything I can to comfort the babe, not get mad and toss him in the dryer, or smack him, or throw him around ... There are SO many F*d up people that do these things to kids, wth is wrong with them? If they can't handle babysitting, then you say NO when asked.. not THAT hard, really!

Well **** HER! :cuss
I'm sorry, but I can't even fathom how someone can do that do an infant!
I hope she gets LIFE!
I can't even think of words to describe how angry that makes me! And how horrible I feel for that mother!

Sick.... there was a story just recently in the PD about a mother being sentenced to life for killing her baby in the microwave... These sick things happen all too often.

That poor poor baby.
I would curb stomp the baby sitter.
ETA: Ugh. Imagine what the baby must have felt like. Someone who was supposed to take care of him put him in a dark place. Then it starts putting out a ton of heat and throwing him around until his body literally can't take it anymore?! Ugh. That poor sweet boy.
How to these people even come up with this stuff?! It's like the ****ing microwave story. HOW DO YOU THINK TO DO THAT?! I get frustrated but I never ask myself what machine I can put my children into. Never. How does it occur to these people that maybe a damned microwave or dryer will get the child to stop, yet the child won't get hurt?! WHERE IS THE ****ING LOGIC IN THAT?!

:yeah
Seriously! I totally get being frustrated, but COME ON!!!!! Leave the room or something for 5 minutes, count to ten....
The LAST thing I would EVER want would be for my child, or any child for that matter, to have ANY injury happen to them....let alone at my doing....
These people need to be stamped out!

Aside from the whole fact that it could KILL the child, my first thought would not be that putting them in a microwave or dryer would make them shut up, but rather the exact opposite! I just don't get it!

a little OT but
I would curb stomp the baby sitter.
*shudder* Everytime I watch American History X I have to close my eyes during that scene, can't BEAR to watch it... but yes, it seems a suitable consequence for her action

OMG that is sick. she deserves to die for that. That is a billion times worse then just hitting a child. Who the **** thinks its any way okay to put a baby in the drier and turn it on.
We all get frustrated and over whelmed but none of us would think to do that to a baby. She should have put the baby in a safe place like the crib and walked away for a few min to regroup and and get a grip. no way is it okay to harm a child if you are frustrated....walk away.
Man I am so angry now. that poor poor baby didn't deserve this. its so sad. I feel so bad for the mom and the sibling who probably saw the whole thing.

i remember when i was ALOT younger i was babysitting my friends 1yr old and he cried and cried and cried anyway i fed him and changed him and tried playing with him i tried EVERYTHING but he just kept crying i even changed his clothes thinking maybe something was pinching him finally i just couldnt take it anymore so i put him in his playpen with some toys and stepped outside the front door to take a couple of deep breaths he was safe and i was gathering myself without harming him then i called my friend and was like WTH? your baby wont stop crying so she came home and i went on my way (oh the good old days when i could go on my way lol) but my point is just put the baby in a safe area and STEP AWAY!!!! I am ready to go nuts if I think a teacher/caretaker is speaking in a inappropriate way to my baby let alone physically harming her. i remember one of logans teachers was being -imo- really mean to a child that was in her daycare and i told her "IT WOULD NEVER NEVER BE OKAY FOR YOU TO SPEAK TO MY DAUGHER LIKE THAT" her response was oh she never would have to logan is really pretty good most of the time I was like "I don't even want her to see you talk like that to another child cause i don't want her to fear any of the teachers here" (and of course i was thinking i would hope another mother would stick up for my kid if the situation were reversed) anyway it got resolved but i cannot even imagine what the mother of this baby is going thru just unbelieveable!
