I recently became a Kaiser member and even though I work at Kaiser, I'm not familiar with all of the family physicians and pediatricians. Do you have any recommendations?

DH has only been to the doctor once and I have never been except for OBGYN since being here so no reccs for a family dr. KaisaG 10-02-2006, 08:15 AM Megan- Our family doctor used to be Chris Barker. He left his former practice (Doyle Park Family Medical) to go to Kaiser about 1.5 years ago. He delivered my husband and his older sister, so he's been around- but he is still VERY sharp. I loved having him as my doc and was SOO sad when he left. For a while my husband and I considered following him to Kaiser- and I know people that have. He's not a pediatrician, but my husband saw him his entire life. He's absolutely fantastic and I'd give him nothing but stellar marks as a doctor. He's easy to talk to, caring, attentive, and he loves kids. He has 3 (I think it was 3...) of his own. If I ever get Kaiser, I'm DEFINITELY sending our family to him. becky 10-02-2006, 08:49 AM SOrry I'm no help here either since i dont go to kaiser. GOod luck though and i hope you find a great doc. alowe 10-02-2006, 09:27 AM Lucca's pediatrician is Dr. Solano at Kaiser Santa Rosa. I really like him and she seems to as well. Marisa 10-02-2006, 10:22 AM Brianna sees N.P. Angelo in pediatrics. She has a pedi too (Dr. Waschburg (sp?)) but we only use him if it's necessary. He's nice but doesn't take the time like Angelo. Also when I was having that problem with my soreness and breastfeeding, she's the one who took care of it. I rarely use the doctor myself so I don't have a general. DH uses Dr. Mitchell as a general whom we HATE. (Duh, we need to switch) He just prescribes medication and shoves you out the door. Then there's OB/GYN where I LOVE N.P. Denise Hoover. She saw me through my whole preg, no doc. I've seen Dr. Jean Cool once before and she's nice too. But I love Denise. Mandie used to work in pediatrics and a couple other departments so she could really tell you some stories. She loves Dr. Goldich (sp?) for pedi but he's pretty well booked cuz a lot of people feel that way. Hope some of that's helpful. :doctor |
