FRIDAY, Sept. 29 (BabyCenter News) — Britax is recalling its Companion infant car seats manufactured between October 31, 2003 and June 2, 2004.
A small number of the car seats may have been incorrectly assembled. If so, one or both tabs on the bottom of the car seat may not be properly seated. In the event of a crash, the seat could rotate in its base beyond the limit required by law, possibly resulting in a serious injury or death.
The recalled Companion car seat, model number E9L14, is designed for infants weighing 4 to 22 pounds. No other models are affected.
This recall is in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
