I have a question..........kail goes poop every other day now for the past week but every time he has gown it has been EXPLOSIVE. i mean all over his clothes and leaking out of the diaper. sorry to be so descriptive but i want to know it if is normal. the poop looks normal, like breast milk poop but a little darker since he gets formula too.........i took his temp and it is normal i dont want to be anal and bring him in to the doc's again if i am just being paranoid. i go in on wed. anyways so i will ask then, any imput??

Colleen he is fine ;) That is just the way it goes when they start going longer between poops, they store it up a bit and then it goes everywhere LOL plus breastfed poop is just waterier. Another thought, is he getting more breastmilk now than he has in the past? That may be what is making it more watery, you are used to a "higher formula content" maybe? Formula poops tend to me a lot more solid.

He's fine. When babies are BF even part time they will go less often but when they do go it isn't uncommon to explode. Myah for a time went for a week without pooping but then for a day or two would go many times and every time it was explosive.

I have the same response as everyone else... he's fine! That's totally normal. They can go DAYS without having a poopy diaper and then they'll poop all day long for a couple days; and b/c it's been "stored" up it'll be darker. No cause for concern! :)

ok thats good to hear i was worried that he might have a stomach bug or something but he seems fine...he even smiles at me when he is done pooping! LOL

They are so proud of their "job"! I think it's hysterical when they look up at you after making poopy in their diaper and grin from ear to ear! You can't help but laugh... At least I can't! :D
ooooooooooooooooooooooooh, boy. I remember those explosive poops. Yeah, totally normal. totally DISGUSTING.... but totally normal.

HAHA, lynette. That reminds me of a comedy routine where the guy was like "have you ever taken a crap so big that your pants fit better after it? I have. Damn those feel good. I figure i'm just 3 good craps away from fitting back into my skinny jeans"

LMAO!!!! Brian was watching an episode of Jackass back when it used to be on where Johnny Knoxville got a colonic and the guy doing it was talking about how John Wayne died with like 40 lbs of poop in his gut or something and Brian turns to me and says, "Maybe that is why I have a big belly!" Yeah, you wish buddy! LOL!

Colleen- As long as he's going consistently I wouldn't worry about it. Baby E went 8 days once and when he finally went there was SO much poop we had to just throw him in the bath. My sister and I call these explosive poops "blowouts."

LMAO! I know that joke! I think it was either Ron White or Larry THe CAble Guy... can't remember which one right now... but both those guys are hilarious! Not PC by anymeans... but hysterical!

It's $70 each for the cheap seats!! I wish we could go but we'll have to catch him next time around. We saw Larry the Cable Guy last year at Konocti and he was friggin hilarious!!

James wants to go see Larry soooo bad! I wish he was going to be nearby soon! He was at Konocti a couple months ago but we had no money. not that we have any now but I would love to see if was going to be around after christmas so I could get tickets for James' stocking!
We looked into going to see Ron on Nov 4th but we haven't decided if were going to go or not. Probably not. But Kathy Griffin in going to be at LBC on Jan 12 I think and James wants me to see if I can get tickets for her show.
