Yesterday we went to visit the Springhill pumpkin patch at their dairy but the place was infested with yellow jackets so we were there for maybe 10min before we left. Brian was stung hundreds of times once when he stepped on a hive as a kid so now he is understandly kind of a freak about them. Anyways it took us so long to get out there that is was really disappointing so we went looking for another one. It ended up turning into a whole day of driving through the countryside going from one patch to the next and stopping at little roadside fruit stands to get apple stuff so we had lots of fun! (Of course the duck came with us, he gets lonely!) Now they want me to look up some more of both so we can do it again next weekend. Anyone have any favorites stands or found really cool pumpkin patches this year?
Here are some pics:

We went to Adobe last year and are planning to go again next weekend with the IL's.
We already went to one for a field trip with Austins play friends, but the IL's like to take him to one as well.

Maybe if the weather was cooler the yellow jackets would be less active but yesterday was fairly warm so it was pretty stinky there too.

We went again today and Alaina got beet red I think from the heat, broke out in a rash from climbing on the hay stacks, and I got a ticket for "running" a stop sign on the way home.....I soooooo didn't run that sign so if anyone know how to contest a ticket, let me know!

I got a stop sign ticket back in march that i still haven't paid. I just keep getting an extension on it and i figure when i run out then i will ask for a court date. hopefully by then the cop wont show up and the court will jsut right it off

LMAO! Thanks Kaisa!! It sure will!!
Becky- this guy was on Adobe road and Corona in the country in Petaluma lying in wait for people. It is a 4 way stop, I came up to it like I always do, stopped, and went because no one was there. He came up behind us and I asked Brian if he thought I didn't stop enough and he said he thought it was fine, it was definetly not one of those "Oh, ya got me!" kind of things. The cop says that I did a California stop and that if people are going less than 5mph when they do that, he lets them go but I wasn't. He took all my info and came back to give me the ticket and says, "I don't think everyone was wearing their seatbelts when I first saw you but because I don't know for sure I am letting you off with a warning." I said "Oh no, this car doesn't move unless everyone has their belt on." Then I asked him to clarify his less than 5mph hour comment and if he had a radar gun and he said no. WTF?! He was wrong about the seatbelt thing and now he is giving me a ticket based on his guess on my mph?? I am soooo contesting this ticket!

I would contest it too! What a jack ass! He was probably bored out of his mind and had nothing better to do than to come up with bogus crap!

I will admit i F'd up with my ticket. Quite honestly i dont know if i stopped or not but i could have swron i did. In any case i opended my big mouht and wouldn't stop talking so there is now way i can contest my ticket. I'm just hoping for a miricle and the cop wont be there when i decide to go to court. On several occations my husband has done this and each time he has put the ticket off for the right amount of time and the ticket was written off. This is why i'm going to take my hsubands advise and with any luck i will get mine written off too.
BTW: your cop was a jack ass. at least mine was very nice.

Look out for cops! LOL!
Adobe really went all out this year, they had more stuff to do/buy than the one on the freeway! One of the employees was snotty to my husband and the owner (? Guy driving around on an ATV) got on it right away and made it right, you don't hear about customer service like that anymore!

Good, I"m glad to hear they have more this year.
Austin was only 1.5 when we went last year so he wasn't all that interested.
We already went to one this year for a field trip with his friends and he won't stop talking about the pumpkin patch....

We went to the Spring Hill Dairy Pumpkin Patch today with my parents (who were watching my neice and nephew). The kids had a blast! My nephew whose's 5 did milk a cow! My neice (who turned 2 in Sept) and Sevannah both "thought" they wanted to but once it was their turn they wouldn't touch the utter! LOL I'll post some pics once I get them transferred onto the computer from my camera!
Jazper sat on hay bails and pumpkins! He was sooooo fascinated with the hay! We kept trying to take his pic but we wouldn't look up at us b/c he was too busy playing with the hay!

We hit the pumpkin patch today... didn't go to Springhill because I was worried about the yellow jacket situation but went instead to a little patch off of Todd Road. Caden had tons of fun and wanted 5 pumpkins because they have been singing 5 little pumpkins in his preschool class. Maybe we'll try Springhill next weekend, if it's cooler.

It was hot but I really didn't notice many yellow jackets... I think one landed on me while I was nursing Jazper but while we were looking for pumpkins I didn't notice any.
