View Full Version : small plane hits highrise in NY
who's watching?
They said it was an apt complex (20 stories high, hit at the 10th story), and theplane was a helocopter
Now we're hearing it's a multi-engine aviation craft (not a helo), and it's the BelAire which is actually 50 stories high.

haven't been home all morning. Just got home about an hour ago from Lorrie's... she hosted a Cookie Lee party. I'll have to see if it's on the news while I eat lunch ALONE!!! :D Kids are sleeping! YAY!!!

Sounds like an accident according to the news... Sad though. I'm surprised that only 2 people died
It was a Sirus R22, I believe. It's a personal aircraft owned by NY Yankee Corey Lidle... so that must mean he's dead :(

Now they say it's 2 people on the ground, 2 in the apartments. I hope they don't find any more. :mecry
that's not what i'm hearing on CNN... they're saying that 2 people in the plane (the pitcher and the instructor) died (obviously) and that a few people have been sent to the hospital for injuries (smoke inhalation, debris, etc)
I wish these people knew how to get their stories straight. You either HAVE a dead body, or you don't.... it's not that confusing

LMAO!!! Really... it's not rocket science to determine if someone is indeed dead! :lol I know it's not a funny situation but the damn reporters piss me off! They're always in a rush to see who can get the story on first and get the highest ratings. We're talking about human lives here... they should be making sure what they're reporting is accurate first b/c I can bet you a loved one is watching that trying to figure out what's happened to their Significant Other. :(
