Do you remember "The Hungry Thing"?
I do! I'm so excited to be getting it for V.
:coupledance :yahoo :woohoo :macarena :banana
Amazon and other online stores sell it for $40-$50, but I found that scholastic sells it for $5.99. You have to be a teacher though to order it.
So, since my MIL is a teacher, I got her to order it for me.
I'm really excited!!!!! Can you tell? :lol
What books did you read as a kid that you want your kid to read?
Corduroy Bear is another one I want to get.

Caden has a bunch of my books from when I was a kid... my favorites are:
Where The Wild Things Are - Caden's preschool teacher told me that Max reminded her of Caden :lol
When I'm Six, I'll Fix Anthony
The Little Book
The Good Little Bad Little Girl
I can't wait until he old enough to listen/read some books like "The Great Brain" series and "Little House On The Prarie" books. And Harry Potter too... I know he will love those.

I had this Mother Goose book when I was a little girl, and I LOVED it so much that my mom and I searched all over for it when I was pregnant with Mav, but it was out of print and it was nearly $100 for a used but fully intact copy :(
Thankfully last December it was reprinted, but totally the same...including the amazing illustration! I LOVE IT!

I used to read The Monster At the End of this Book over and over. I bought it for Amelia not long ago. It always made me laugh.
Funny how you look back and remember reading something a thousand times but now if I even read a book once I am so over it.

Richard Scarry - Oh the Places You'll Go
Green Eggs and Ham
Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys later on
I still have all my books at my Dad's house. There's something about the taped pages and ratty binding that makes me sentimental.
