My double stroller just crapped out on me - I hit a bump in the sidewalk and a whole double wheel just completely snapped off! Damn thing was $200 and lasted just over a year. :( I'm trying to decide if I want to get another double, a Sit N Stand, or just get a single for Dorian. Melody still uses the stroller frequently. She can walk, but if the option of the stroller is there she usually rides. I also like the idea of having a stroller for when we go on all day excursions in case they need to nap. But I feel like she won't need it for long and it may be a waste of money. I was looking on CL to see if I could get a good deal, but I didn't see much, and I don't know, I just don't trust that the stroller wasn't pooped in or something at one point, kwim? :giggle Any ideas? WWYD?

I have a used double Graco that we got on CL for when I babysit and it works well for our walks to the park. I don't know if it would be my first choice since I didn't really shop around or spend a lot on it.

I don't have two kiddos (yet?) but just from observing other moms trying to navigate with the various kinds of double strollers... the sit-and-stands look nice and compact, but if Melody wants to nap, she would SOL with that.... The side-by-side joggers look like the next best thing in the compact dept (can you tell that is important to me hahaha), but if the kids are fighting with each other, they are right on top of each other. I am not too fond of the way the front/back double strollers seem to function. Just too loooong and cumbersome from what I ahve seen.
Good luck choosing!

Here is the thread I started recently to get a feel of wht other moms had and if they liked them or not, etc.
I'm looking for a good, and affordable...which for us means cheap cost but good, or at least okay quality, side by side jogger with swivel wheel I think. still no plans for any in particular.

myah still walks alot but will get tired when out for a long time so the sit in stand works great for that. for long walks though like around spring lake it is not as easy to move as a double jogger but it gets the job done

I have a graco duo glider, a double jogging stroller and a sit n stand. I like the jogging stroller best, but it is rather cumbersome to take places, but I am sure there are models that fold up easier then the one I have. The only problem you might have is that it is sometimes mine is too wide to take inside a store. I like my graco for going to the mall because it's a bit narrower. I am not all that impressed with the baby trend sit n stand it's hard to steer and I have been thinking about selling it.

I don't have a double stroller, and can't give you any pesonal experiencek - but ever since I saw Seasyn's double stroller I've been in love. It just looks SO cool, very easy to maneuver and change around.

Ya, I think so too! I think the fact they can face so many ways is really awesome!

I like my double jogger. I have an in step jogger with a swivel front wheel and I love it. It steers like a breeze and actually better I think than the single run of the mill mid grade graco/evenflo/kolcraft ones that I think usually will accomidate car seats, we have found two for free lately and I have been using those since for a while the kids would ride bikes and I was tired of leaving the double out front but I think I will go back to the double jogger... walking almost 4 miles a day now with the kids we are having more issues with tired kids and the double jogger can technically hold three two in seats and another on the "foot rest" for a bit while the kiddo recoups their energy. We have had it for a bit under 5 years and it its still going strong. It works well with one kid or with two. I some times use the empty seat if there is one for the misc mommy crap/park toys... Mine will fit through a standard doorway with a bit of clearance and it folds up okay IMO... I think I paid around $150 for it but I don't recall.
