Flickr has been doing weird things to my photos lately!
I've always seen people put little comments under their pics saying things like "damn flickr sharpening" and things like that stating that flickr is over sharpening their pictures.
I'd never experienced it, and so I never understood it :( But all of a sudden this past week it seems every photo I upload to flickr is completely over sharpened, and the color is completely different to the picture I have in photoshop when I put them side by side! :banghead
It's annoying the daylights out of me. hrmph.
I wonder why it does this to some peoples photostream and not others....I haven't changed anything *I'm* doing.....and yet my flickr photostream seems to be affected somehow. Woe is me.
I mostly load pics to my personal flickr page, and rarely to my biz one only because my biz one is no longer a pro account...and I didn't feel like paying to renew it because I don't get much out of that account...so I saved that money instead.
Anyway.....just wanted to vent. :thumbsdown

I noticed they changed the format of the site.
I'll have to check out my pics and see if anything changed.

hum that might explain why i haven't liked the recent pics i have uploaded and posted on my blog. :dunno

oh yes....it could be their new format...you're probably right...though it's totally annoying!ugh i am still getting used to it. i still have not decided if i like it or not.

okay since you mentioned it Brooke I decided to go take a look at mine too OMG that is not right. I hate it. I think its time to stop using flickr to host my pics for my blog because these look horrible

I see that yours are boxy too :( that blows
I guess it's time to use photobucket or something else for the blog pics :dunno

yeah I wanted to see if they looked any better...less boxy...to *me* they do just wanted to see if someone else could look on a different computer :)

Dang....how frustrating...I don't use them, so I have no clue.... I hope you can figure out how to work around this new stupid stuff..

what did you do different. maybe if you upload to flickr the exact size you want to use and link to the original that will help

That's what I did! So it seems to have worked! It's just a pain to have to save it an addiontional time...but oh well

It's just a pain to have to save it an addiontional time...but oh wellugh how frustrating. at least you figured out the "fix" for the problem but what a pain to have to save it a second time. It time to creat a couple PS actions so you can save the sizes you need just by hitting one button.
