So I stopped by Mervyns today, and boy was I disappointed, I thought I might find some great deals! Well I did see cute girl pants priced at $2 but nothing for boys! I can do better at discount stores. Anyone else go and find a good deal?

The kids and I went in today to look, and like the pervious posts, we were not impressed and we walked out empty handed. We headed over to the outlet stores instead.

We were at the one in Fairfield last weekend and everything was 60-80% off, so we picked up a few things. I think that one must have been slated to go out of business before they decided to close all the stores. I'm guessing that the SR one will have better deals when it gets closer to the closing date.

I think they're staying open through Christmas, maybe New Year's?

I was impressed with their shoe selection for the boys, but that was all. I went looking for PJ's for Austin, but they had none. I am going to go back when it is closer to Christmas in hopes of getting some good deals on clothing.

Thi was actually on the news on Friday.... they said that what most people don't realize is that the company is going to try to get as much as they can, so you shouldn't expect to see anything below about 20%-40% before Christmas, and then the day after you might see prices cut to 60%, and maybe a little more, but really they don't plan to go that low as a storewide thing.....cause they already have deals with Ross and Target and a few other similar stores to just sell the remains to them .

I went there a couple weeks ago, and although the prices were not as low as I'd hoped, I do think I got some good deals. The best part is that they still have good selection. By the time it goes down to 50-60% off, the selection sucks and I wouldn't be able to find anything anyway. I got new sheets for our bed which were desperately needed, a couple bras for me and some clothes for T.

I was disappointed by the clothes, nothing I liked but did get 3 bras at 30% off so the trip was not a total loss.
I found a bra that touts "NO BACK ROLL", I think it was called the smooth bra & IT WORKS!!! :D

I was in there on Friday, they had signs saying 40-60% off.
If dh liked something it was going to be his b-day present, but he didn't find anything.
My Mom got some good deals on bra's and such.
The kitchen area had barely anything left.

I found a ballerina robe and pj set for V. It was calling my name, only because V needs a robe. But, I didn't buy it. :(
I found some cute dresses too, but I like the xmas one's at Childrens Place better.

I was there on Friday also and everything was 40-60% off. I stocked up on work-out clothes in an attempt to get motivated.
I didnt see any cute baby boys clothes but htey did have a big selection of baby girl stuff... but nothing any different than you find at target.
