I'm thinking about having a few custom t-shirts made that say "ask my mom
about the MOMS Club of Santa Rosa, CA", "MOMS Club of Santa Rosa kid" and
"ask my mom about Becka Lynn Design"

I had thought about making the t-shirts as a craft project for the group but I also thought this might make a good craft project. Not sure which would be more cost effective so i thought i would ask you crafty ladies what you think. Ideally it would be great if we can make a shirt for about $5.

It costs too much to buy offical MOMS Club shirts from the website but we
really would love to have our little ones wear the shirts when we go out.

Its great advertising and it might help to get moms to ask about the group or my business.

Any ideas or thoughts on this one?

I guess it would really depend on how much you wanted to spend and how professional you wanted them to look. You can easily get t-shirts or onsies for the kids at a decent price. Adding the lettering... you can get Iron letters at a fabric store or craft store. Don't know how much they are though. And if you used the iron on letters you probably wouldn't want to do it as a "kids" craft project! ;)

:) Every year for the kids birthdays, we make t-shirtd to give with the party favors. I buy packs of shirts from Target, or go to The Darma Trading Company and buy in bulk. Then I dye them, then use the computer to make iron-ons. They are really cute.
I did the same thing for a team that was doing a tri-athalon as a freelance design project. They came out great. It depends on how many you need to do. I've never done more than 30 at a time.
