Need a new printer

I have to run out and buy a printer today on a whim. I don't have time to BS and research which have the best scores, etc. The one I have is a POS that barely lasted a year, and it was recommended by the salesman - which is why I bought it. I don't want to trust another salesman. I need to print my study pages for my test I have to take online tonight... which will greatly affect my overall grade in my class. The POS that I have now won't print any color or black despite my having changed the cartridges TWICE. :thumbsdown

Any recommendations would be great. I'd prefer an all-in-one type if possible.

We have and HP Officejet 5610xi AIO and I like it, although I hven't ever used the scanner function. They probably have come out with newer models since then, but I like HP since they sell cartridges at Costco.

We have a HP C7280 , All-in-one; printer, copier, fax and scanner. We bought it at BestBuy and I absolutetly love it and I am happy with it;)

I have the hp7310 AIO. I've had it for about 4 years now and I've never had a problem with it. And I use it all day long!

Thanks Ladies for the responses... I couldn't wait so I went to Amazon and looked at their 4-star printers. I ended up getting an Epson Workforce - so far print quality has been awesome. Ink is reasonable etc. too.

Haha yeah it was cheaper to just drive the 5-min to Office Depot where they had it in stock LOL

Sounds like you got the printer already. I recently got an HP color laser which I love love love!! It was really affordable for a color laser and the cartridges last 10 times as long.

I know you already got your printer, but just thought it would be funny to chime in with another HP all-in-one inkjet over here! It's a few years old, so I won't even bother with the model number.

Lorna, jealous about the color laser! Those print so much more crisply than the inkjets, and your prints don't come out damp like an inkjet.

Funny thing is, I had decided when I went on Amazon that it was either an HP (what I had before the POS) or the Epson. The Epson had better reviews, so I went with that.
