A few weeks ago, there was a story about a dog rescuing kittens from a burning house and I wanted to post it, but my computer wasn't letting me. The only reason they found the kittens is because the dog stayed next to them barking. By the time they found the dog, he had passed out due to smoke inhalation, but the paramedics gave him some oxygen and he was okay after that. There's a video online about it, I'll try to find it. Once, when Lucas was having a hard time breathing, Pebbles (the dog) let us know. She kept hounding us like she wanted to go out. Barking and whining and scratching at our feet. We got up to let her out, but she ran to Lucas instead. Ultimately he was fine and just needed a breathing treatment, but it was really amazing to realize what she had done. I think Travis agrees with me that those dogs are lifers in that family!!!!! They totally proved they are priceless, and loyal, lovable family members! |
