I think it is was Kaisa who first told me about the Comcast DVR but I could be wrong and of course anyone can respond, but has anyone had any technical difficulties with their recordings??? We recorded House the other night and the picture was so glitchy (like the digital image was disorted) we couldn't watch it. THen we recorded Ugly Betty on Thurs and tried to watch it last night and it was a little glitchy, the sound kept going in and out but we found if you put it on pause and then play again it would come back, and then the recording got interrupted with 10mins left to go so some of it was lost. Another program was like that too. I wonder if it is the box, the programs themselves, or some messed up signal??
I think it's comcast - but then again i hate comcast. LOL
A large part of why we stopped our comcast service is b/c our HBO channel was "glitchy" like that a LOT. Easily 10-12 times PER SHOW and they said there was nothing they could do. alrighty then! LOL
My mom has comcast service and their dvr and hasn't been having any issues

LOL! You hate Comcast Jackie?! Really?! I had no idea!
When we watch them normally they are never glitchy which is why this is kind of weird so I dunno if it is the mechanism that saves the shows is messed up or what? Friggin' Comcast...

Umm I'd say it's definitely Comcast... Which is exactly why I've been meaning to ask Jackie how she likes Direct TV!

It could be the hard drive on your DVR is going out. I have a DVR with Dish Network and we never have any problem loosing reception with the satellite but our hard drive is getting ready to die on the DVR.

So does yours do the same kind of thing? We were loving it for about 2 or 3 weeks, never a problem and now this...

Our Dish DVR has gone out lots of times. We got one 4 years ago and they just replace it anytime it goes out (probably 4 times already). The good thing about having the old version is that we don't have to pay a monthly DVR fee.

our dvr has done that a few times but so far so good. usually when the weather is real bad then the HD channels mess up but other than that i have had no problems
