View Full Version : Third times a charm...um no!

In less than one week, I went to Safeway three times and each time, they rang something up wrong. First it was sodas on sale, then it was chips and this time it was pop tarts. I used to be really good at watching while they rang me up but with Amelia, know my attention ends up going to her, so I usually don't see the error until after I am finished. The first two times the checkers were apologetic and fixed things for me quickly. This last time the checker was a b**ch and I ended up asking for the manager who was still not very nice. Is it my fault that they got it wrong?
Anyways, here is a warning, check over your receipt. Especially at Safeway where the computer does not show your discount until you run your card. It makes it very confusing. The total amount for all of the wrong charges came up to 18.00. Not a small chunk of change.
OH by the way the nice Safeways were on 4th by Farmers and in Sebastopol. The not nice ones were on Mendocino.

I almost always have something rung up wrong when I go to Safeway. They are always nice and fix it for me but sometimes I don't catch it until I'm at home.

Kraft shredded and sliced cheeses are 1.99, I stocked up. Might go back and get more though. The expiration dates are for May and June.

With what freezer space? I really need to buy a separate one like you all have. I just would not know where to put it.

I have problems with my Safeway receipt on a regular basis -- like 95 to 100% of the time. I usually park my cart near customer service as I almost always find something wrong with it. BTW, if they charge you the wrong price (and you're right) they are supposed to give you the product free plus your $$ back. They often won't tell you that -- you will need to demand it to get both.
I have had poor customer service at the Bennett Valley one as well as Mendo. The 4th street one is usually ok though.
When I went today, the Safeway cheeses were on sale for 1.99 not the Kraft ones.

Ok, now I am really annoyed. I am going to ask customer service when I go(if) next time before I even start shopping. Walmart is supposed to do the same thing and give you 3 bucks. But I rarely have things ring up wrong at Walmart or Target for that matter. I don't even have issues at Lucky's. I do have to watch at Oliver's though.
