My DH, Scott, is going to be at this fair, selling pens and bottle stoppers. He is sharing a booth with a lady that makes truly beautiful wreaths and another crafter that makes baby hats. I haven't seen the hats, but I understand that they are really cute.

Did you really? LOLOLOLOLOL I forgot that it was this weekend too. I think they will have more vendors next weekend because when his group registered they tried to get them to sign up this weekend because there weren't very many people. Did that make sense? Anyway, I think there was a big craft show in San Jose this weekend and some vendors went to that instead.

There is always next year. I think the booth's were around $200, so something to plan for!

i cant get over how much it cost to get booths. i guess if you can break even it is great but that is alot of money to spend if you end up not making to much in return.

When Scott called on this fair they originally told him it was $500! Yikes! So he wasn't going to even try but since he is sharing the booth and they got discounts for registering early and for being local crafters, it made it more affordable. He did a craft fair at Kaiser on Friday and sold almost all of his stock, so now he is working like mad to have stuff to sell this next weekend.

I have a booth there and the booths are $450 per weekend. Forturnately my organization, The Parent Pack, was able to negotiate a special rate for all of our members this year.

It was a little slow the first weekend, however, next weekend there are supposed to be a couple really popular local bands playing. They expect the crowds to be bigger then.

One of my members did very well at around $2000 in sales, whereas some did average sales, and others not so great. I guess it just depends on the products. Overall, some of the vendors that were there in years past say their sales are down. Something to think about.

Exactly Becky, Jackie loves you, plus she is going to be making money this weekend anyway since she is going to be taking 85 gazillion cute pictures and you will want to buy them all, as will Kaisa I think it is :)

So far, this crafts fair has been a bust for Scott! Caden loved the model trains though, so if you have a kid that loves trains, go check it out on Sunday. Caden also got his face painted and the guy did his eye lids (note to self, don't ever let that happen again) and when I washed his face tonight, I could not get the face paint off of his eyelids, so now he looks like he is wearing this 1970's blue eye shadow. I can't wait for his dad to see him in the morning :bounce
