I don't either. Two people asked me to add them and I had no clue who they were. One said you we both know the same person. Sorry not a good reason.

There are some people that I know and I still don't add..:)
Not from here but from high school. I mean just because you went to the same high school as me does not mean I have to be your friend. Is that terrible? It is just with older and younger siblings, a lot of people knew my name but not me.

I don't think it's terrible. I've added a couple people from high school as they also went to my church growing up. They also surprised me at my grandparent's funeral.

Yeah I don't just add anyone to my FB I did that on my myspace and it was just too much! I keep it mostly just family at this point though when I first joined I added friends and family. Now though I have really enjoyed using it to keep in touch with family amd the friends I have :) I have 3 friend requests right now two of which are from people that went to high school with me...Ignore...I wasn't even in any classes with one of the people! Um no.
I don't think anyone 'has to' accept friend requests 'just because' ya know. And it's not a personal thing I like my friends on there to be my actual friends who I enjoy being with and have a good time with...not some random person who just wants to know what happened to me after high school........
(Sorry for any typos, typed this on my phone)

thanks for the heads up. I have both kinds of friends, those i talk to all the time and those i want to get to know better. I have found that FB has been great for that. Just because I don't hang out with them now doesn't me i wont later. IMO if i added them to my FB is because i wanted to get to know them better :) and hopefully become real friends vs just someone I know on the internet.

I figure if I never said, "I wonder what happened to ...." then I am not adding them.

I have lots and lots of friends from school but these are folks I grew up with, most i have know and gone to school since the 2nd grade. We lost touch so its nice to see them now even if its just on FB

Thanks for the heads up!
I'm on FB too and only add those that I know, they are either family or friends from past and present. I used to be on MySpace, but for me it got to be so juvenile...FB is much for fun and it is SO much easier to keep in contact with friends...it seems like there are more people my age on there (31), which is nice!
Again, thanks for the notice about Madison Roberts!

Seems like this particular warning is someone with a personal problem with "Madison Roberts."

Still, looks like I am of the same mind as most of you. I don't add anyone I don't know, or want to get to know. I don't feel any obligation to add someone just because we went to the same school. I like the way you put it Susan
