Have you all been following the news about Katie & James Kim and their kids. I was so sad to learn that they found his body.:mecry
I noticed when they rescued Katie and the kids that Katie's Mom proudly discussed how Katie bragged that she breastfed her girls :bfand kept them fed for most of the 9 days, I believe it was, that they were lost. :clapThe news did not touch that with a 10 foot pole though, just Katie's Mom, lol.

Yes, I was watching that story very closely and checking cnn.com and sfgate.com every 30 min until they found his body the other day :( It is just so sad that after the miracle of finding the mom and girls and to hear about how hard he tried, that he actually travelled 10miles in wilderness so rugged that it was wiping out the trained searchers who were properly clothed and hadn't been starving for 9 days previously.
All the stories I have been reading make mention of the bfing, especially the sfgate.com ones and a mom on one of my lists knows the family and said they are big AP parents.
It is just so sad :(

I have just been watching the local news channel, and the only mention of bfing was by her mother. I listen to the news while I work on the computer. I am on dial up so everything takes a while, lol!

hadn't heard anything about this (i dont' think i've seen the news in weeks, LOL) but this part just about made me bawl:
"Your dad is a hero. Your dad is a great, kind man. He will always love you very much," said a handmade card written in a child's scrawl, signed by "Malia."

Thanks for the update.
I'm pissed at the one hotel dude who wouldn't give out credit card info.
I tell you, if my husband is in that situation, he better give the information out to help save a lost family.
I just hope they learn something from this rescue and learn to listen to tips that sometimes don't make sense.

I know! Or the cop who was out sick so he didn't get the message or the housesitter who didn't resport anything until the second day they were missing?? Sounds like just a big comedy of errors but I suppose hindsight is 20/20...
