Hi Ladies. I have some pictures from the birth of my niece that I need to have printed and out on a disc for my SIL- but I'm not sure where I want to take them to. I'd like to take them somewhere that I know will do a good job. I have them on a jump drive right now because I cropped a few of them to cut out some stuff that just wasn't necessary. :) Also I'd like the merchant that prints the photos to be local because I don't' want to wait for them to be shipped. I'm kinda thinking of this as a Xmas gift (even though we didn't draw her name...) so I don't really have time to wait for them.
Also I was thinking of putting them in a photo album for her since I was the only one with a camera during her birth. I'd love any recommendations anyone has for a good place to get an album as well. I'm not looking for a scrapbook because in all honesty I just don't have time to do all that!
TIA Ladies!

khols has really ute photo albums and surprisingly walmart does too!
as far as a printer - COSTCO all the way.
They are BY FAR the *BEST* local printing place you'll ever find.
Lots of pros actually use them. I don't, but when i need something for myself that I want sooner than a week later (how long my printer takes to get stuff out to me) I DEFFINATLY go there!

I figured you'd have the answer- Thanks Jackie! Maybe I can venture over there when I go to Hell, I mean... shopping today.
They also do online uploading for hour prints... but i THINK it normally takes more like 3 hours (they give you a pickup time when you submit the prints)
JUST BE SURE That on the last page you UNCHECK The color correction.. their color correction *sucks* and theyl'l come out all orangey bluish. And I use their Lustre paper, not Glossy... it's prettier - but that's just personal preference. I don't like *any* glossy paper. looks too "walmart photo center" for my liking.

Haha thanks for the tips. Yeah I'm not too big on glossy paper either. I had Baby E's Santa pics printed on matte paper too.

i was going to drop of my film at costco and there was a wait but i cant remember exactly how many days. Digital though, jackie is right, you can upload all your photos online and then jsut pick them up when they are ready.
I honestly havent found a great place for one hour photo but the best i have tried so far is at albertson's by montgomery village. The photos come out really nice and they dont use that cheap thin paper like most one hour photos use. I was very please with my photos when i took them there.
Definately dont go to target. I got lazy and took my film there, over paid for the developing and they use that thin shit. I would have been better off going to albertson's for thier one hour.

Kaisa:
If you wanted to do a photobook you can do one at http://www.kodakgallery.com
You can upload your photos, add captions, choose your cover styles and page styles. It's actually preety cool. We did them for xmas this yr for the great-grandparents that never get to see the kids. They came out really nice. It takes about 2 days for it to process and then you can select a method of shipping. If you wanted to see one before you did it I coudl meet you somewhere or you could stop by to see the ones we did.
