Does anyone know if it's normal to have menstrual-like cramping w/o getting your period every month? I got my period back when Baby E was 2 months old, then I got the depo shot and let it run out... and I've been thinking that I am going to get my period back but it hasn't come again. Plus there will be like 3 or 4 days ( I used to have a 4 day cycle) that I'll just produce less milk for no reason... and then it just goes back to normal.
TIA- I'm just curious.....

Hmmm... can't help you there. I got an IUD when Brianna was 6 weeks and haven't had a period since b4 I got pregnant. I can't imagine thinking about the birth control rollercoaster right now. That goes double for a 7 month old! What did I ever do b4 this IUD? I hope you get some answers, Kaisa.

i wish i could help you with this one kaisa but i dont do well with birth control, though you wouldnt know it really considering how far apart my kids are spaced between each other LOL.
I used to take the pill with a very low dose hormone but after the last time taking it and having a period for a month, i have no idea what i'm going to do now.

i jus got an IUD last week and i love it! i did have a little cramping but it has gone away now. it was super easy to put in though nto a big deal at all and it took like 3 min.......i have a questio for you though, did you gain alot of weight with the depo shot?
the IUD i got has the hormones in it and she said that i could gain weight, because it has the same hormones as the depo shot and ppl do complain about that side effect.

Colleen- Most people gain weight with depo but I was on it for like 5 years and I never gained a pound the entire time. Actually I lost about 5 pounds over the course of those 5 years... Average weight gain is like 5lbs the first year and then a pound for each additional year... or something like that... but like I said, it never affected me.

Kaisa: it could just be related to nursing/pumping. If Baby E is "eating" more it can throw off your cycle. My period that I was suppose to start on Nov 26 didn't "arrive" until Dec 9! The only diffference in my life... Jazper was cutting teeth and nursing like there was no tomorrow! :lol So it's probably just a hormone fluctuation. I can't be on hormone based BC b/c I get migraines from it so we just use condoms.
I get cramps sometimes when I ovulate. Maybe it was just ovulation and you will start in a few weeks.

Colleen I'm going to reply to this forum because I know you mean to post it in here :) You're right - some people are really bad with it and they gain a ton of weight. I'm the other side.. If you think about it if you took me and your friend and did our average - it would only be like 10 pounds... which is STILL more than I want to gain! Some stuff just works really well for some people. I just am sick of going to the dr. cuz I feel like I am there all the time- either for baby Eman's well baby check ups, him being sick, me BC... ACK! It's too much of a PITA if I can find something else my body will agree with.
omg, I saw colleen post in the other forum and was SOOO Dang confused. LOL
