A friend at work gave me some Chimole and told me how to make Chimole tacos with pickled onions. I plan on making it but was looking around online for other recipes I can use the rest of the Chimole in. I didn't find much. What else can I use it for?

I didn't know what Chimole was, so I looked it up.
Looking at the pictures, it looks like a type of salsa. :dunno

From what she (my coworker) says, they burn chili's and grind them up with a few other spices. It looks kind of like a black bullion and smells REALLY good. You use it in tacos replacing the chili powder. You can only get it at a Mexican market. I just find it strange that there aren't any recipes online and things that come up are salsa. I was hoping some of our resident Spanish experts would help me out.

I didn't know what that was either...but after you described it....back home we do something similar with a type of chili and we use it in soups...yummy!

I looked at the package when I was at work on Friday and saw that I was spelling it wrong. Its actually Chilmole. Googling the correct spelling I find a bunch. thanks for trying to help!
