I was awake but I was sorting laundry and watching The Ace of Cakes. Does that count? :lol After we went to sleep, some moron let off a bunch of firecrackers in front of our house at about 2 am. Luckily, it didn't wake up Caden but just about gave Scott and I matching heart attacks.

no, we don't have tv. But besides that I was in bed until 11:55 when I woke up and told dh and ds#1 happy new year and then went back to bed. Originally we were supposed to go to a friends house but her kiddos came down sick so we lef tour kids to nap as long as they wanted and then had a "pizza and cider party" at like 8 with Asher and then J woke up a bit later and was up until shortly after midnight. Ben slept through from 4 pm to the morning as he was a bit under the weather himself. Elias was his normal up every hour or more...

Alaina was having a hard time staying asleep so I laid down with her until she fell back asleep but fell asleep myself. Apparently Salina came in several times to wake me up because we were supposed to play her SpnogBob Monopoly game but I didn't end up stumbling out right when they were counting down the last minute. We tried playing the game while watching Dick Clark's show but the music was pretty bad and Salina was so tired she was being giggling fits which was annoying because I was grumpy so I went back to bed an hour later. Yes, I am a party animal! Woohoo!

This is the first year James and I stayed up together to watch the ball drop. He kept flipping back and forth between all the channels b/c the commercials were annoying and so were the performers. We watched the NY ball drop live and then of course the West Coast version. He only stayed up with me b/c I gave him crap for never staying up. The last couple years we have both gone to bed early and just rolled over at midnight, said "happy new yr!" gave a quick peck of a kiss and gone back to sleep! :lol

DH and I managed to stay up until midnight for the first time in a few years but at 12:00:30 I was over it. Some jerks in the next block kept shooting fireworks or something and we even heard what dh swears was gunshots!! Morons!! Brianna woke up twice b/c of noise but we were all sound asleep by 12:30

It's a guy and friends that make cakes. He will use a power drill, saw, etc...
I like watching that show.
Hopfully, someday, I can make cakes like that!

yup! we were at my MILS house and we drank champange and played the disney's "scene it" game. its a trivia game that comes with a DVD to watch then it asks you q's.
