I want to start reading more and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on some good books that they read recently. I want to bring a few books to Mexico while I am sitting in the room with my daughter since it will probably be too hot for her to go out all the time.

John Irving books are always good! A couple fun, vacation-y good time books are Candy Girl by Diablo Cody and Run, Catch, Kiss by Amy Sohn.

I have the opposite problem - once I've gotten into a book, I have a hard time putting it down!

AMEN! I'm also reading the Jenn Lancaster books. They are pretty funny. Chelsea Handler is a riot too!
I love the twilight books too, so bring at least 2 with you :D

I enjoy the Jacquelyn Winspear series. They are intelligent mysteries set in post WW1 England with a wonderful heroine.
Also, Lisa See is a favorite author. She is Chinese-American and writes chinese historical fiction and mysteries set in China. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan is particularly good.
