I saw that it is the Cotati Kids Day this Saturday and was wondering if anyone is going? Has anyone gone before? What do they have there? I am thinking of going with the girls so that DH can do some yard work unperturbed (lord knows our yard could use it!), but I want to know what I'm getting myself into!

I went last year, we watched the parade. They had a lot of things for kids to do but P wa too young to participate.
i think they had facepainting, jump house, things like that, IIRC

We've gone the past couple of years. Kids love going the parade. Lowes usually has a kids workshop thing going on at the park. Not sure the kids will be here or not. Probably only Jess.

I"ve gone to this every year since my baby brother was a baby...he's 14 now! It's tons of fun for the kids...jump house, face painting, crawling contest, craft booths, vendors...etc. fun. We aren't making it this year...we'll be in santa barbara on saturday.....

So is it okay/fun for a 2.5 and 1 year-old? Is it crazy crowded or can you breathe? What is parking like??? Sorry for all the questions, but I really have never been and have no idea what it's like!

We're going this year! We're going to the pancake breakfast at Church of the Oaks and then over to the parade!

we usually go every year, it's fun :) I liked it more when the pancake breakfast was at the fire house though...it's fun, not terribly crowded, the kids just run around...taiven has fun...I posted my DITL last year even with video if you want to get an idea of what it's like...http://www.sonomacountymom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11921&highlight=kids+parade

I think we're going to be there... at least me and Hannah. Might leave the baby at home.

I have never heard about this event before. I would love to go, but we have music class from 9:30-10:15 in Sebastopol. Maybe we'll run on over there on the way back and join in the festivities...

We went last year.
Watch out for the tractor guy that blows a really loud horn. Not only did V cover her ears, I think she cried too, but I jumped out of my skin when he blew it right in front of us. My ears were ringing afterwords.
Wish we could go this year, but we are celebrating my Mom's b-day here that day.
Be prepared to walk a little depending on where you park.

We've gone to the parade for the last 2 or 3 years (Michelle is right about the tractor guy, ugh!) but we skip the park stuff only because pretty much everything is $$ for the kids to do and Alaina wants to do it all.

We went last year. B&B were only 4 months old, so needless to say they could have cared less. We are thinking of hitting up the pancakes this year and walking through the events.

sure thing Stephanie, makes me sad I didn't take more video of the kids and all this time has passed...good reminder to get some video as time goes on because I loved watching them :)
