Since we adopted our son finding out about classes has been a bit difficult so I thought I would ask if any one here has found some that are helpful. Marcus and I went to our first meeting with Kaiser that offers a class for the 6 months to 1 year. Anyone on this group in this???
Also, we are looking into Kindermusic, anyone have experience? Would you recommend? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks!

I went to a kindermusic class a long while back with Jacob called Music Together. We only went to the intro class because it was a bit much for me (the lady running it is very nice, but really into it and repremanding the parents for not doing what she wanted!) There is also a kids play gym run by the parks and rec that was fun and relatively inexpensive.

Here are a few websites to check out. I agree with Sara about Music Together. But the classes are always full...so people like them. I've done both KinderMusic and Music Together and found KinderMusic to even tougher.

I'm kind of the overscheduled, take as many classes with your child as possible parent. :lol Sonoma County has tons of fun things to do with your child and a lot of them have been listed already. Here is my 2 cents worth :)

If your son is into music, Music Together is a great class. HOWEVER, I totally recommend that you take the class from Colleen Toner in Sebastopol rather than the ones done by Ginger in Santa Rosa. Colleen is much more laid back person. Here is the website http://www.westcountymusictogether.com/

Sebastopol also offers a kindergym class, but I can't remember what age it starts at... I think at six months but goes up to 5. It is definitely a high energy group but cheap and fun :) Here is their website http://www.seb.org/classes.html#tiny_tots

I just saw this on the Sebastopol Community Center website... haven't tried it but it looks like it could be fun:

The YMCA has an indoor heated pool and parent/tot classes starting at 6 months. We just joined as members and have been using the pool at family swim time. Their classes are very economical for members, although they don't offer a lot for under 3 years olds, other than swimming. I really loved doing the parent/tot swim classes with Caden and I'm kind of bummed that he has graduated to a swim class on his own. Here is a link to the Y's page http://www.scfymca.org/aquasch.htm

Have fun!

I've been taking my oldest (Sevannah) to My Gym for two years now and started my youngest (Jazper) when he was about 5 months old. They both love it and so do I!

The new sessions starts at the end of the month (the 29th). They use to offer everything in 8 wk sessions but had many requests from parents to offer an monthly payment plan. So starting with this next session you can chose to do the monthly payment option or the 8 wk session payment. Advantages od the monthly... you save money and get to go to MULTIPLE CLASSES plus one freeplay!

If you want more info please PM (private message) me or give me a call 486-6506. You can also check out their website

You can also try a class for FREE to see if you and your babe will like it!
