WTF!!!!
So I get home from a crazy busy day, pack the babes in the Tahoe and truck on over to Costco. Right before we leave I smell ANOTHER dirty diaper from Mr. Billy. (Normally he only goes once a day, but 40 blueberries at breakfast kept him pretty regular, IYKWIM) So I change the diaper, get to Costco, load them into the shopping cart and when I walk up to the door, it is freaking closed!
Ok, not a big deal since I can usually pull the whole,
"mother of twins.... (bat those eyelashes) I just need milk....(bat...bat...bat...)"
and I really did JUST NEED MILK! B&B go through a gallon in two short days.
"Well, I can't let you in ma'm." (ooohhhh, don't call me ma'm)
"ok, well can who can let me in?"
"It isn't up to me, ma'm."
So I stroll away thinking, they must have closed a while ago and I don't want "bad karma" for being a jerk. Then as I am loading up my fussy babies
"MOM, we JUST GOT OUT! WE ARE NOT GOING BACK INTO OUR CARSEATS!"
I ask a lady next to me,
"What time do they close?"
"6pm"
I look at my cell phone, it is 6:03!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrr...... !
Needless to say, I REALLY needed that milk, so we drove to Safeway and since the shopping carts there only hold one baby, Brianna got to cruise in the Ergo. I don't think she minded, but I wasn't too thrilled.

I didn't check their clocks. I thought they had been closed for a bit when I showed up at the door begging to be let in.
:( Boo! I'm sure there were plenty of people inside that they wouldn't notice if you ran in really quick.

That blows.
FYI when you hit Safeway now they have these new cars (that fit 2) and have bob the builder playing.

Costco hours suck. I wish they opened at 9am so I could go there then Target. Instead I buy stuff at Costco because I really need it and not sure if Costco will have it or not and I don't have time.......

That's really irritating. You'd think they would want the business.

I asked Safeway about the double carts but the guy had no clue, he said,
"They have shopping carts that seats two kids? really?"

I go there every other week and spend $$$$ (take everything and times it by two, diapers, wipes, fruit, beer!)

i think costco has clocks like the bars. they set them ahead 10 minutes or so, that way they can push every out by the time the are actually closed..

How frustrating especially with two kids. I would call for sure and talk to the manager.

I am on the opposite side of this issue. You wouldnt believe the number of people who managage to make it in just before we close at night(Target closes at 10, except Sun its 9)and then expect to be able to shop for as long as they want even when we keep announcing how many minutes they have left. They act all shocked when the lights go down at closing time. Some think we aren't serious about what time we close like that time is just there a suggestion. After we get the last guest out we have up to a hour to clean up however bad the guests have trashed the store. Some nights we're aren't able to finish and the opening crew gets to deal with it or the overnight crew does.

That is irritating that they were closed when you got there and you were delayed getting there but why should they let you in past closing time? Even if it was only a minute past, they were still closed. Don't you think the employees want to go home to their families?

I have seen the Video carts at the Mendocino Ave Safeway. At the Sebastopol one, they have carts with a little car in the front too, but no video. And at each store there are only two or three, so if there are already a few families in there you are Sorry Outta Luck.
Sorry you didn't make it by 6:00 to get the milk. :(

Only some Safeways have those, not the one in RP.

Thanks for the insight, that sounds pretty frustrating.
