View Full Version : browns wife/child not included in will LMS 01-16-2007, 06:25 PM can you imagine? What that poor woman must be feeling :( http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/Music/01/16/people.brown.ap/index.html KaisaG 01-16-2007, 08:03 PM I dunno- I kinda think the whole "Hynie is not Brown's widow because she was still married to another man when they said their vows..." says a lot about her. I just don't respect stuff like that... I do feel bad for the young child, however. Lynette 01-16-2007, 08:05 PM That is pretty negligent to not provide for your youngest kid when you have the means, especially when he seemed to have been sick for awhile. It wasn't like he got hit by a bus out of nowhere. I am sure this will turn into a big drawn out lawsuit. My3sonsplus1 01-16-2007, 08:12 PM nor is the child an infant, for 5yrs he could have changed the will but didn't. Do they know the child is his? (i don't know, i don't follow celebrities for the most part) Did they get remarried because I am pretty sure they aren't really married in the eyes of the law if she was married already when they "got married"... LMS 01-16-2007, 08:59 PM Brown's attorneys contend that Hynie is not Brown's widow because she was still married to another man when they said their vows. They have said Hynie later annulled her previous marriage, but she and Brown never remarried. I would think they both (albeit incorrectly) assumed that since her previous marriage was annuled, that their ceremony did count. KaisaG 01-17-2007, 08:41 AM I would think they both (albeit incorrectly) assumed that since her previous marriage was annuled, that their ceremony did count. I thought it made it sound like the annullment was done after her marriage to Brown. Maybe I read it wrong though... But yeah if you can afford to get burried in a ghetto-fabulous gold casket you can afford to see that your child is provided for! My3sonsplus1 01-17-2007, 09:06 AM I thought it made it sound like the annullment was done after her marriage to Brown. Maybe I read it wrong though... that is what I read too "Brown's attorneys contend that Hynie is not Brown's widow because she was still married to another man when they said their vows. They have said Hynie later annulled her previous marriage, but she and Brown never remarried. So married to some other guy, say vows with Brown, annull first marriage, and then it says Brown considered annulling the marriage (to her I assume) in 2004 but never did, maybe because there was legally nothing to annul?? or he coulda just reconsiled with her. But no matter what you'd think the child would be in the will :( daisydoc 01-17-2007, 09:29 AM I just feel sorry for the kid. LMS 01-17-2007, 10:03 AM I thought it made it sound like the annullment was done after her marriage to Brown. Maybe I read it wrong though... But yeah if you can afford to get burried in a ghetto-fabulous gold casket you can afford to see that your child is provided for! Correct. What I mean, though, is that by definition to Annul a marriage is to instantly dissolve it as if it had never happened (the difference between anulment and divorice). So I'm sure they (wrongly) assumed that since her previous married "never existed" that her ceremony to him was valid. |
