I was doing well thru my pregnancy until I was eight months pregnant and I got alot of stretch marks. My baby is almost 10 months now and my stretch marks are still visible. Is there anything anyone has tried that has worked to get rid of them?????

mostly time fades them... I don't mind them myself really (except when they are being made because they are itchy) so I never took any sort of aggressive approach to ridding myself of them.

I guess I should say" luckily, I was already fat, so I did not get any." Silver lining anyone?

Dh has some Vit. E stuff he got from the Burn Center (he had 2nd and partial thickness 3rd degree burns in July) and I've been using it on my stomach...it's AWESOME! they are fading finally! And my skin is looking awesome too..... I'm not sure the brand, and he took it with him on his trip....when he gets back I'll find out what it's called and tell you.
FWIW I gained 60+ with my first, and 50+ with my second....and she is 9 months tomorrow and I have a TON of stretchmarks! So it's saying something to say this is working for me.

My baby is still really young so mine are still VERY visible! I only gained 30lbs during my pregnancy (I seem to be gaining more now that she's here, despite my current breastfeeding, UGH!!) and ALL of my stretch marks appeared in the last week and a half of pregnancy. I couldn't believe it! Throughout my pregnancy, I used lotion with Vit E & A a whopping 3 times a day to try to prevent them....but I think if your belly is gonna stretch, there's no stopping it!
I can't wait to hear what the name of the magic Vit E lotion is from Lorah!

i have been addicted to vitamin e oil ever since my pregnancy with wyatt. i didn't get any on my stomach, but they COVERED my boobs, and within a couple weeks of using it it started to fade. i immediately started using it on my belly, and now, throughout 2 pregnancies have only managed to begin 2 form 1 on my stomach (though i can't say whether that's genetics or the vitamin e oil, but i definitely am too scared to experiment and find out)

I got them bad. My Mom did too.
Mine are now skin colored with a hit of shinny gray to them. :bag

Um, yeah, my youngest is over 2 and I'm still covered in them. Not just tummy and boobs, but THIGHS! I couldn't believe that one. I didn't even know they were there till after Melody was born and I could see past my belly again. Swimsuits are the enemy...

Ohhh man my inner thighs are a NIGHTMARE! I'm still waiting for those to fade more.
I will ask Travis when I talk to him today to see if I can get the name of the stuff so I can tell you all sooner.

Thanks, I would really appreciate it. I also have alot on my inner tighs, I didn't think it was possible to get them there beacuse of pregnancy. I'm a very young mother and I think that's why I'm so freaked out about them. I mean I just turned 21 and I might not be able to wear a bathing suit the rest of my life!!!!!!!:thumbsdown

They WILL fade over time! But they will always be there...you can't get rid of them completely. :(
I still need to talk to him...will let you know asap though. :thumb

I refer to mine as my mommy war wounds. I have them on my stomach and thighs and HATE them. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try to rub some vit. e on them.

Sure you can! It's called Tummy Tuck. :)
So jealous of my cousin. Since she was having a c/s with her 2nd and final kid they did the tummy tuck at the same time of the c/s.

They also have laser removal procedures which are extremely costly depending on how many treatments you have to have, I have also heard Strivectine is supposed to work really well but you can't use it while your nursing or pregnant and if you go to Costco they have a $20 off coupon it is pretty pricey but I definitely plan on getting myself some I am willing to try anything! I only gained 32lbs with Marisa but it was all belly and I got major SM. swimsuits I stuck to tankinis this year!
