I have noticed these past couple days my hand has been acting up. I gets sore and even feels a bit numb. I have been working many hours on the computer editing and such but IMO not that much more than usual. Now that my hand has been bugging me it got me wondering if maybe its carpal tunnel or maybe even related to the bug/spider? bite i have on my hand. The numbness feels like when say your foot falls asleep but without the tingling and is now traveling to my elbow. :dunno Not sure what to think

That sounds like carpal tunnel to tendenitis to me. I had mild carpal tunnel years ago and I would have the same thing but with shooting pains going up to my shoulder. Take more breaks and stretch your arms/wrists, shake your hands out, etc. It is reversible if you take precautions. I had to use wrist braces for a while. What a PITA that was!

I have been noticing today that my elbow now has a crackling sound when i stretch it. I think the weight of my camera combined with the long hours on the computer are taking its toll.

Sounds like tendonitis or carpal tunnel. I've had it since I was 19..and for me it all started when I was doing 10-key at the bank for 6-8hrs a day (and a boss who wouldn't let me take breaks!!) I have the pain my wrist, elbow, forearm, shoulder, etc etc. It comes in waves with not hurting at all, to hurting so bad I can't do much.
You should take lots of breaks and stretch out your arms/hands/etc. I hope you feel better! :(

I have the same thing. It started when I was pregnant with my daughter. I still have it now 4 years later. It is the worst at night when I am sleeping.

I have noticed a few times that at night i would wake up really sore or numb. are there any specific exercises you can recommend?

Hahahaha, sounds like someone needs to reduce the times they post a day on SCM.. You were bound to loose your post per day crown at some point. Seriously though you need to take more breaks from what you are doing.. if not surgery may be in your future.

I think she means that a good chair goes a long way as far as ergonomics and the way you're sitting at your desk Becky :thumb
