I think i got her back in like 6th grade... I just remember it was on the fourth of july. LOL. She doesn't like to be petted, adn she likes to pee in my mom's Jaguar. Oops :doh

I have four cats and a horse. My cats are living at my mom & dads house. And My horse is at my old neigbours house. When my mom and dad moved they could not take her with them. We had a dog but we had to put her to sleep a few months ago.

Very sorry to hear you had to put your dog to sleep. I am sure you miss him, he can be with my babies (mommy to my puppies and on of the puppies) up there too. It's a very hard but brave and necessary thing to do sometimes.

danielle: That's so sad! I've only ever had to put down one pet... a rabbit. We had 2 lop eared rabbits when i was raelly young and mine got some kind of cancer, and ****if you are easily grossed out, stop reading**** a tumor grew on the back of his eyeball and it pushed his eye out of the socket a little, and off to the side :( Poor baby, he was in so much pain, we just didn't have a choice.

I'm sorry that you had to have your doggie put down. Like Cydnei said it a very hard decision, but sometimes a necessary evil with our beloved furbabies. I have an older dog who is almost at that point. Her quality of life is truly mostly still good, but she's often cranky and senile and on meds for several things. I know it'll be really hard when the time is actually here. :'(
Anyhow, we do have two dogs, two kitties, a fishy tank and a fish pond. And we frequently foster mama cats and their babies - come to me if you ever want a kitty or know of someone who does!!! :)

We have two dogs: Wyatt (just turned 7yrs) a rhodesian ridgeback/german sheperd mix; and Trixie (1 1/2yrs old) a choc. lab. Plus, we now have 8 fresh water peaceful community fish. They were Sevannah's gift from Santa this christmas! After another week or so we can add more. They live in a 36 gallon tank.

James' mom has horses. He use to show when he was younger. I grew up with horses too. Didn't show though. Growing up we had cats, fish, an iguana, dogs and horses. Lots of animals all the time!

We used to have a tank full of tropical fish but when we had a little fire while visiting Victor's Parent in Big Bear the tank cracked. Luckily the water from the tank put the fire out since we were not home but it sure was scarey. We never got fish after that while still living in Whittier.

Now that we moved to this new house, we got a fish bowl with those fancy fish. I forget what they are called. We thought we got two girls but it turns out to be one boy and one girl and the boy likes to pick on the girl. Evenetually we will set up the tank we bought and have tropical fish again but who knows when that will happen.

I just noticed this poll is like a year old! LOL! Oh well, I wasn't here then apparently <g>

We have 3 Great Danes, 1 grumpy cat, and 2 bunnies (one is evil incarnate and we are trying to find a new home for because she picks on the old guy).

Becky- are they guppies? We did the fish tank thing and after a few months I was crossing my fingers they would all die! LOL!

We currently have a german hunting/fell terrier(Daisy), a orange bulleyes tabby(Tiger) and three goldfish. Daisy-we might be looking for a new home for her. She needs more time and attention then we can really give her. PLus being that she lived out in the country for year she barks at any little sound and loves to dig. Dh is not happy with her as she has dug up a few plants and put hole in drip line hose for plants. So if you know of anyone looking for small energetic dog let me know. She's only about 20 lbs.

We have 1 goldfish and a dog that has decided it lives here even though it does not. "The dog" from the house behind us is back (if he ever left) and was out tossing a splash ball (wet from being in the sandbox/kiddie pool) and deflated plastic play ball around with himself just a bit ago and has taken to chewing some of the kids toys out there. Apparently he's been around a lot more than I noticed (I've had my suspsions and thought I have heard him from time to time) if he's making himself welcome to our toys :lol Yeah he's just out there chewing a plastic little tikes knight on the grass like he owns the place. Oh now he's scratching his back on the lawn, what a silly!

Hahahah....I know here I go again digging up old posts. Again I found this one becuase one of those search engine spiders were crawling the SCM website and this one came up. hee hee Its a good thread and I couldnt help but to reply.

Lynette-no the are not the fancy guppies. I jsut cant remember the name of them. You can usually see these silly fish in a tiny fish bowl sometimes with a plant. They are the extra extra fancy ones that if you go to petco they are in a plastic cup on a shelf by the fish but not in a tank. I'm going to have to ask victor what kind of fish they are.

Oh ok, we had one of those for awhile. I thought you weren't even supposed to put a male and female together because they are so grumpy? Ours was dumb, he would flex at his own reflection!

Well I answered the poll this year, but the dog has been here of and on since a little bit before Elias was born, as we first met him when we heard him barking next door and I was sitting on a very low stool very pregnant tending to the tomatoes with the boys by my side telling me that barking was scaring them. I told them it was safe, the dog was on the other side of the fencing. A minute later I hear more shuffling and turn around to see his head popping out of the missing 2x4 on our side of the fence and my face level life 3 feet away (there is double fencing though, still not sure hwo he gets over as his side doesn't seem to be missing any planks, at this point he now digs under the fence but I don't think he originally did that) anyway here I am 9 months pregnant and having to pick up my almost 50 and almost 40 pound kids and make a beeline into the house. Like a minute or two later he finally got all the way through. And he's been sneaking back ever since, apparently often since he's made himself quite comfy.

Becky, the male betas are the ones that you shouldn't put together. Male and female would be fine but I have a feeling you don't have a female. They don't look the same... the females don't have all the fancy fins. They are usually bright red but the same shape as a guppy or something boring. We had a small tank a long time ago and were told that if you get a male and a female it makes the male brighter cuz he's trying to "impress" her. And they don't fight. Now, two males, they will fight. Actually more like one will end up "picking" the fins off the other one until he's a scraggly mess and can't swim.
