Every year I take my girls to the mall to get a pic with Santa. Its something I have been doing since my oldest was 3 months old. This year however there is a great opportunity to do something different and get professional photos done by a super talented photographer for a great deal.

She wouldn't even attempt it last year :giggleI spoke with Jeneanne this morning and shes said there was a bit of a rush yesterday at 3pm but not that bad at all. I think we are heading over on Thursday since the girls are still too sick for tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it.

sweet. do you know how crowded it is? do ppl line up early?i don't know about the other days but yesterday when she was there she said there was a bit of a rush between 3-5 but the rush was only about 5 or 6 people in line. it was not too bad at all.

Anyone else besides myself and Brooke not bother with Santa photos?

We waited in line forever one year, then Morgan wouldn't sit on his lap and I ended up buying overpriced not that great photos with just one kid in picture.

i wouldn't bother if i was up to me but DH wants a photo every year so I do it for him.

We have never done Santa Pics. Besides not really actively perpetuating the whole "santa" thing one way or the other I am not all that keen of the concept of handing my kiddo(s) over to a germie stranger for a photo op. And some of the santas are down right freaky looking! I think the concept behind these pictures is great, but I don't like the Santa; he doesn't look like "santa" to me.

funny thing is...my girl keeps BEGGING to go back and give santa her list :rolleyes

I know the second she sees him she'll freak....so I'm not even going to bother! When we took her a couple weeks ago (only because we were at the tree farm...we didn't go out of our way to take her to 'see' santa) she had a meltdown freakout cryfest on daddy.....even though some kids were doing that some parents still stuck the poor kid crying spaz fit and all and took pics.....:shake

DH and I used to go looking for the "right" santa every year and only once got a mean creepy one. I miss the one we loved down in SoCal. we would go when it was slow just so we could chat it up with him. Such a nice guy and you could tell he LOVED being santa every year. Personally I like the santa's with the real beard but this year I'd rather not stand in a long line and would much rather get a photo taken by a pro :) of course it helps its my friend and I want to support her biz too ;)

Ok, we took T today and it was the BEST experience! T was scared and clingy and didn't want to go to Santa. It took a few minutes, but she finally let dad put her on Santa's lap and he started to look at a book with her and talked to her in a really soft voice. They picked out pictures in the book and he got her involved which was awesome! She started to loosen up and she got some of the cutest pictures! I can't wait till they are up on her site! I hope she does this year after year because it was so great! They spend probably close to 10 mins with her so it wasn't rushed at all! I totally recommend going!

that is so awesome to hear. i can not wait to go. What time did you head over there today? How was the crowd?

I think Jeneanne said she is going to be there next year too. She had asked me to come down this year and work there too but I was way over booked with holiday sessions that I just couldn't get away. I would love to do this next year though.

We got there at about 4:00 and there was one person just getting done. Someone came in right after us, so they had to wait about 10 mins or so.

There was like a total of 8 for me, but I know she shot more. I'm sure those were just the best ones.
